Great vid! (bit of a lore spoiler below, something you missed around the forge area that links in with a bunch of other stuff) Spoilers linked to Lyhr, Droknar's Forge's history, and a few other side characters. Inside the main forge, in one of the side chambers, a female dwarf has a conversation with the male dwarf near her and comments about "Lyhr is back". The male dwarf ultimately retorts that "Lyhr vanished without a trace thirty years ago". With the earliest this fractal could take place being 1072 AE, this means that Lyhr joined the Astral Ward (and became a wizard at some point afterwards) up-to 294 years prior to present-day Tyria in SotO. It also means he was a known and notable figure around Droknar's Forge, as one of the smiths in the forge, prior to his departure (Lyhr has other dialogue that indicates he's very familiar with use of the forge even if he's unable to clearly remember the where/why/how of his learning). Forgemaster Elrik also seems to be quite familiar with him going by the dialog during the forge part of the meta. Next add in the lore from the Waylit Lantern achievement, to certain lines of Lyhr's dialog from the meta event to forge the key, and we learn he wound-up in Droknar's Forge after his family was slain while travelling in a caravan/convoy through the mountains. After this he was adopted by the mother of Rand Waylit, the aunt of Ran's cousin Riley Waylit who you talk to near the end of the achievement. Some dialogue during the last part of the Skywatch meta also indicates Rand was at least somewhat younger than Lyhr. With Lyhr taking-on a protective role towards him. Last tidbit of lore comes from one of Lyhr's journal entries that can be read within the Wizard's Tower. About a post-GW1visit to the Durmand Priory (with Lyhr making himself appear as being stone but not much else to the disguise) and a close encounter with Ogden that required a rapid exit. There's a pretty-good implication there that Ogden recognised him, which subsequently indicates that the two of them were familiar with each other and at least both adults 30 years prior to 1072 AE. Both living in Droknar's Forge for at least some period of time. So they're either of similar age (320+ years) or one of them is much older than 320. Hope you find this interesting! Yeah, I'm a fellow lore-nerd who got way to interested in piecing together Lyhr's history lol :D

Fellow lore-nerd, I'm really happy to have you here! And what an amazing comment! I love it! When I made the video, the expansion was very fresh and I didn't want to spoiler people who hadn't played the story yet, but yea, the mystery of how and why Lyhr joined the Ward is something I can't wait to uncover!

No, for a long time I tried to stay away from gaming, as I was afraid that once I start I get too much into it. SO convinced me to try GW2 9 years ago and shortly after I started GW1 too.

I assure you it gives rather than it takes, as without it, none of these videos would exist because I have a form of dyslexia & this is one person production, so even if I would have what it takes to do the voice, I wouldn't have the time for it.
