I had couple of friends who are minors and first of all, I never felt comfortable being close friends with them, so I kept my distance, we`re just talked sometimes about anime or games, all that good stuff. And one time they started discussing sexual stuff which was inappropriate to me (sure they can discuss it, they were at that age when people start being interested in it, but I didnt want to participate in it) and what did I do? At this point, I hope YandereDev can cut his losses and sell his game to another developer who will actually complete the game and take good care of it. As for the victim, I pray that she is doing well and her parents should also sue the developer for grooming and harassing her; and to make sure that he doesn’t groom her again, there should be a restraining order that should ban him from all contact with that girl, either in person or online. I can’t speak for everyone, but I got obsessed with this game when I was 13 or 14, when I first started to love horror and edgy dark content. I’ve always loved the dichotomy of cutesy things mixed with violence and horror, especially yanderes, so this was right up my dumb kid brain’s alley, especially when he added the low sanity makes the kills more brutal function. Not only that but I thought the rivals were all really pretty and I was interested to see more of them and how they would evolve as characters. I fell out of the game as I got older because I realized one, yan dev was a known creep at that point, two, I could make more interesting and unique characters in like one or two art sessions, and three, the contents of the game was questionable at best and downright sick at worst. At that point in time the only yan sim I was consuming was redesign/rewrite videos because I was considering rewriting and redesigning it myself, to make a new story out of it. I thought it’d be a fun challenge tbh. Nowadays I see it for the shit it is, but a lot of the fans either are kids or started following the game when they were kids and just, can’t remove their rose tinted glasses.

There are also screenshots of him helping with the victim’s statement to make himself look better. He’s still talking to the girl he hurt. Still harassing her. He can only truly be sorry if he admits to EXACTLY what he did and stops. And even then, that doesn’t make it a mistake. A mistake is getting into a car accident by accidentally hitting the gas instead of the breaks from the haze of panic. What yandere dev did is more-so comparable to road rage.
