I ordered ND Pastel and am (im)patiently waiting for it to arrive! LOL I totally agree with you - this appeals to me because I love the look/feel/vibe of pastels, but the ones indie brands have are just too intimidating to me! I’ve only just begun to use their shifty duochromes and gritty sparklier shades, so I’m not quite ready. I also work in elementary schools so while I have a lot of liberty with my makeup, I also don’t feel like an editorial look is really my thing. I want to try pastels, but in a “wearable” way! 🤞

as you mentioned, what i love about the sheerness of ND’s palette is that you can layer and combine any of the colors together and it still turns out beautiful. i bought Lost in LA before remembering to see reviews on this palette but it makes me excited to pair both together. Someday i may still dip my toes into ice cream dream which is very shiny and pigmented 😅

I've said it before but want to say again that I love how calm your voice is. Even excited it doesn't get unpleasant and that is super appreciated! Also, your reviews are by far the most thorough and fun to watch. I am grabbing this palette at the sale on 4/1 because I'm on a no buy for March. But dang it if it isn't hard to wait because as a color lover this is RIGHT up my alley. I prefer softer colors personally, deeper mattes, lighter shimmers, but triochrome is so unbelievably underrated in the community. People focus on the only three shimmers, but those mattes are some of the best colorful mattes and I was just so stoked to see this come out. I have all of your comparison pallets (minus monochromance ..debating on that one) and yes, I still NEED this one lol. I feel pairing it with the spectral palette is genius and so doing that.

We are pining so much for warmer and brighter days that spring is finally bringing, and it's tempting to express these seasonal feelings in ones' clothes and makeup. As a light to med olive skin, and an older person, I'm not sure if a full look especially is my vibe, but maybe one or two colours as an inner corner eye highlight or as a liner would be fun to try...but a whole palette??? may not be for me. However, LOVE these comparisons you do Alicia. You bring real inspiration into my makeup routine. Appreciating your sharing other palettes that may contain similar shades to ND's Pastel palette. I am not ready yet to commit, but have been interested in the Zendo which seem to offer a few pastel shades in matte and shimmers. Would you sometime include a contrast/comparison with this palette to the pastel too?

Hi really needed this video. I feel like I’m missing out on the Natasha denona and the Hindash palette but I don’t use the pastel palettes that I already own. Pastels just not my go to luck. This inspired me to pull them out and play with them so now I don’t feel like I’m missing out.

Not sure if you ever tried BH cosmetics' palettes. I recently purchased a few things after their bankruptcy and acquisition news, including the Lost in Los Angeles palette, which is a pastel palette. I was so hella impressed with its impact on application and ease of use, I went back and bought 3 more palettes. ND may have a great formula. But if a pastel doesn't look pastel on the skin, aka bright colour with a white base, it's a pass for me. Still happy you did a comparison with Monochromance though! When Alicia puts out an eyeshadow video, I watch.
@aliciaarcher2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I saw the Los Angeles Palette! I might grab it to make a comparison. I saw the swatches as well, but what I think throws me off is the metallics. They’re more mid-tone, which I feel brings downs the pastel hue of mattes. Or did you find that when all combined, the look still appeared pastel overall.
@ZeehcTunococ2 жыл бұрын
The mattes are definitely stars of that palette. The shiny shades are lighter than they look in the pan. I wouldn't say they are metallic cuz most of them are quite chunky, and almost glittery. Those shades also don't have a strong base, so the underlying colour really shines through.

I couldn’t bring myself to buy the BH palette although I’m in love with the colors , because I have some pastel palettes & I don’t use them often , the lost in LA would ADD to my collection though. I also might grab one soon ! ✨

Hello Alicia, I really loved that you went more into talking about the ND Pastel palette. I forgot about that palette from Linda Hallburg’s palette. That is a very good palette. I had it but since I don’t use to much pastel colors anymore I gave it to my friends daughter and she loves it. I love the 2 eye looks you did here. And putting Hindash’s Monochroance palette the pink shade as a blush everything looked beautiful. I thank you for doing another video. I really do appreciate it. Have a nice rest of your week.

I love both of these looks! I built my own version of the ND pastel palette using mostly shades from Pastel Pup (Menagerie), After Dark (Lethal), and some super sparkly Devinah singles. I've also pulled out Mercury Retrograde, and Flowerbomb (RIP, Midas 😢). I love pastels and wear them often and I enjoy being able to swap out pans in ND palettes so I might pick it up during the VIB/Rouge sale.

People are sleeping on Mother Pat's Fleur Fantasia quad. Its my favourite palette of hers. My skin colour is close to Jackie Aina so looking at it i thought nope. Had a play with my friend's and boom! I use that palette all over my face and lips. You could sell me anything hun, but tbh I'm vibing more with Linda Halberg's formula by the looks of it. But why buy either when there's Mother Pat's Utopian Dream? 😍

@aliciaarcher2 жыл бұрын
No worries, Fatimah! Sonia’s buffer pro, for sure. It’s softer, and will leave behind a smooth blend. The flat top is designed for that task, and it’s not as dense as the Rephr 31. I would use the Rephr brush with cream and liquid products.

I think ND is a little late with the pastel palette. A lot of other brands, mainstream and indie, released pastels last year. As much as I like ND, I would have only bought this if all the mattes were cream to powder, as I feel that's a really standout formula. I already have Glamlite Ice Cream Dream and BH Lost in LA and Devinah Xploders collection, so this palette doesn't really add anything special
