I've never heard of Molly Tuttle before, Rancid are one of my favourite bands and ...And Out Come The Wolves is probably my favourite album ever, but she has absolutely nailed this, what a performance and an unbelievable rendition of a great song. It might be better than the original and that is probably the highest compliment I can give her.

This reminds me of when I saw Richard Thompson live on stage a while ago. An artist who has the ability to sound almost like a full band and capture an audience, still being alone on stage. A solo appearance may even be perferable because her qualities become more apparent in a solo performance.

I wholeheartedly agree. I’ve seen RT many times, and when he’s at his best it feels like this. There’s a very small group of acoustic players who can tap into this level, especially while keeping the vox beautiful and committed: Thompson, Kottke, Watson, maybe one or two others.
