This judge sounds biased, she's so concerned about her bonding with the children not even considering if they will be safe with her....My woman abandoned 2 kids with me years back, a boy and girl and my daughter was the oldest at just 4 years old, last month March 2024 she came back to claim them and my daughter is 16 now while the boy is 13...she took me to the police and lied that i beat her up every time she come to see the children that is why she has not been visiting, this is someone i haven't set my eyes on for almost 12 years,she bribe the police lady that was in charge of the case to locked me up just so she could go with the children, thank goodness my son refuse to go but she went with my daughter till date I don't know where they are...fear women.

I actually shedded tears when the girl started crying..that girl needs counseling. Knowing ur mother don’t love u as a child and remember that this kids has to experience it from small and now she is 19. It has messed up with her mind already. And it will really take her time to really see her mother as her mother cos she has waged a wall and the woman needs to do a lot of job to gain trust from the kids that she will not abandon them again. U missed out on their upbringing. She had to learn to use pad from her dad when u r suppose to guide her. A colleague of mine in our office had a similar experience. His wife sought transfer to Abuja behind his back while leaving him with 4 kids in Lagos. He only gets to see her twice in a year. There was this year he did not see her for one whole year, so he took part of his annual leave to go to Abuja. He was shocked at the sight of his wife who was already 7 months pregnant. He didn't ask her how it happened. He returned to Lagos and that was the end of the marriage till today. He has since remarried another woman and his most senior kid just finished NYSC while the younger ones are in the university now. No job or profession is bigger than the family bond and the family bond should not be sacrificed on the alter of developing a career selfishly. There must be a balance. The woman in this case is somewhat mean towards her first daughter. The woman should have used her educational exposure to find a role for herself in her husband's ministry to help him in burden sharing and running his ministry instead of picking a secular job and going away to Abuja to be messing around as alleged.

What touched me and brought tears to my eyes, was when the daughter described how cold her mum was to her when they saw each other after many years. Which means that the daughter was actually eager to see her mum and to feel the love of a mother after a long time, but she was left heart broken. Parents should know that the primary source of love for children is from them. Children cherish love they get from their parents and it remains engraved in their memories for the rest of their lives. And reverse is the case, if parents refuse to show love to their children. Parents should do better.

My take on this: 1. Why will a responsible married woman separate from her husband and for 11 years you have not made frantic efforts to see your children? 2. If it is true the husband trained her to the university and she chose to treat him this way, i feel sorry for. 3. From the testimony of the two, i tend to believe the husband to a larger degree. Though he seem to dominerring toward the wife. 4. The woman truly in my view sought for thevtransfer to Abuja to leave her life to the fullest. I personally doubt her faithfulness/commitment to her marriage and the husband. 5. It appears the mother in-law contributed to this mess going bynthe confession of the husband. 6. With the emotional outbursts of the daughter, it seems the woman is not a real woman and mothet that she supposed to be. LESSON: 1.If you know you are not going to faithful and committed to any man or woman, please dont get married. 2. Before you take any carreer decision, consider your marriage/ home first. 3. Marriages comes with a lot of sacrifice. If you are not prepared to make those sacrifices, dont jump into it. May we be found worthy!

The mother may not have had the money to go through the courts to gain visitation rights legally. Neither lawyers nor the courts are free. When my ex-husband abandoned me but would not sign divorce paperwork, I used tax refund money & I began selling my furniture to make some extra money to pay my lawyer. That took almost 2 years. He earned twice as much as I did, so money didn't matter to him. Plus I still had a minor child at home. Child support money went towards her education by order of the judge since she had been in private school since Pre-K.

This is the first time I'm seeing judge Fumi not telling the raw truth like telling the woman her wrongs instead of petting her for her wrong behavior over the years. After 11years she now realizes she wants to be a part of their education and the judge is saying to the man that "you're even a pastor". So because he's a pastor, he should be happy that he has a disloyal woman as a wife who left him and the kids for over a decade. I lost my parents at age 2 and I've always felt that a huge part of me was missing, seeing this woman I would prefer to be an Orphan all over again than to have a mother who lacks empathy, also the father is a sad and bitter man who has put his feelings and emotions above that of his kids. Marriages end and not all couples stay together but the parents should be diplomatic and resolve issues with humility and empathy because of the kids involved. All I see are selfish parents trying to be right and ruining their kids 11 years after the kids can see and understand things for themselves and they're messed up adults using drugs and going through a lot of trauma. Parents need to do better, every child deserves loving parents and if the marriage ends the love of the children should be the ultimate goal. Arrangements should be made diplomatically for both parents to be involved in helping the kids. Our Children are our future.

This judgement can never force this girl to bond with her mum considering how traumatised she sounded. The mother appeared less bordered by her daughter's outburst. Madam, that you bore her in your womb is no longer a reason for her to embrace you if you had abandoned them for 11yrs. The girl has come to an age where her feelings are defined & justified; and her age and decision backed by law (no longer a minor). There has to be sincere apologies, total change of attitude from the mother and a display of genuine love to her children to win their affection back. Court judgement can not enforce that, even if you rule for her to have access to them.

No child can forcefully bond with an unrepentant and loving mother or father. She need to first of all repent, apologize and amend her ways especially on how she treat her kids. True love birth positive feeling so does hate and maltreatment birth negative feelings and hate. If the woman need her kids trust me she knows what to do, the judge should not force bonding between the woman and her kids if it can't come through submissiveness and repentance from their mother. For me I will ask the woman what she really want because all I could gather from her is that she want to be part of her kids education like some kind of investor so that could have a say in their future. I think the court should be careful in granting this woman access to the children. She does not seem to have good intentions. She referred to the daughter as this girl. It was quite obvious that the children are scared of her and emotionally detached from her. Also I’m inclined to believe the man because of the daughter’s reaction.
