Second Story: Dude, just evict her. It's your parents house, your grandma has no right to act this way in their house, they can evict her.

Story 2: How in the hell can someone insist on staying somewhere they know they're not wanted? I personally know the feeling of nobody wanting me around and can't stand it, so I have to remove myself for my own peace of mind. The fact that OPs grandmother doesn't do the same is clear indication that she enjoys making others miserable.

story 2: I know it's easy for an outsider to just say kick her out with force, but I guess I'm already jaded because I'm just so done with people like that, I refuse to take any crap. The worst offense you can cause to me is to lie directly to my face and insult my intelligence and common sense. I'd be calling the police to remove a trespasser .
@quietperson Жыл бұрын
Listening to story 2 I would like to suggest that they bring up putting her in a nursing home. If she claims she is being "neglected" at home then tell her that maybe she would be more comfortable with 24/7 staff at a nursing home. Then she wouldn't be a burden to you and your mom. I work as a nurses' aide so I know how it goes.

for the entitled grandmother, I would go on a trip, a long trip, I would tell the electrical/water comp to turn off the utilities and inform her that when I return, she would not be there. if she was, I would have her arrested for trespassing because the water and electrical would have been off for the duration of my trip and there would be no reason for her to be there.

@Mummabelinda Жыл бұрын
My mother is exactly like this grandma. I mean exactly :( BUT she has her own unit and has been diagnosed with vascular dementia and stage 4 BC. Even though I was treated like crap by her growing up, I am the one who is doing everything for her, I have help via a home care aide. I think once they get older they just demand attention. My mother rings me at least 5 times a day. All OP can do is have her referred by her doctor to suitable accommodation, there is no way in hell I would ask my children to look after my mum.

Story 1 - I am so disappointed that didn't end with the caddilacs "mysteriously" burning down
@MarsJenkar Жыл бұрын
Story 1: That story definitely made me think of the Genesis song "Jesus He Knows Me". Granted, that song was specifically about sham televangelists, but the blatant hypocrisy displayed by Pastor Corruption in this story is very similar to the hypocrisy of the televangelists in the Genesis song. Story 2: The longer she tries to guilt-trip this family by saying that they want to throw her out on the street, the more that will become a true statement. Her behavior has progressed too far for too long, and she needs an intervention and/or ultimatum from everyone else here, and follow through on it if she tries to push back.

Story 2: Wow that grandma really does sound difficult to live with. she's like Chris chans mom Barbara Chandler. She is just keeps making a lot of excuses on why she couldn't move back to her house and doing all that other stuff. She should have been grateful that the mom in dad in this story cared to let her stay with them and she treats everyone else like garbage. She should move out if she doesn't like the way she's being treated. If my grandma started living with me and she treated me like garbage, I would have kicked her out and gave her a 30-day notice. If I was in the OPs shoes I would have moved the grandma into a nursing home.

Story 1: People such as that preacher probably wear their crosses upside down. Story 2: As for the grandma, since she hasn’t had 30 days of consecutive occupancy of that house, then OP and family need to wait for her to go on tour then either sell, donate, or dispose of her things, change the locks, and don’t allow her back into the house. Sell it if you have to, and move out. She has her own house.

8:15 i never understood this. Why is it members of a church would preach & say God needs this money, basically any extra $ you have should go to God. What is God gonna do with it? It’s clearly not going to God, it’s clearly going to the pastors cars & homes. Why would people think God would expect people to pay pastors for preaching the word of God, likes it’s a transactional thing. Idk 🤷🏽♀️ I also have very different views on God & religion. I personally don’t think you need to attend church to have faith.
