That's what makes it so sad that hymns aren't sung in church every Sunday like they used to. Growing up I didn't understand, but now --- the hymns are what I turn to. We need to go back to hymns, esp for this generation growing up. Thks for the video -- it was uplifting

Time is filled with swift transition, Naught of earth unmoved can stand, Build your hopes on things eternal, Hold to God’s unchanging hand. Refrain: Hold to God’s unchanging hand, Hold to God’s unchanging hand; Build your hopes on things eternal, Hold to God’s unchanging hand. Trust in Him who will not leave you, Whatsoever years may bring, If by earthly friends forsaken Still more closely to Him cling. Covet not this world’s vain riches That so rapidly decay, Seek to gain the heav’nly treasures, They will never pass away. When your journey is completed, If to God you have been true, Fair and bright the home in glory Your enraptured soul will view. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 KJV Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:5-6, 8 KJV Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand. Psalms 89:13 KJV

I grew up in the United Methodist Church and we song these hymns back during my childhood and young adulthood. They don’t have choirs that sings these songs anymore. I can’t do the praise teams. I just don’t like praise teams. Give me a church that has a choir and let’s have chruuuuch.

Good ole days! Sunday morning church service. Brings back beautiful memories. 50 years ago. Didn't know that it would stick in my heart. 12 years old. Sunday school, 11:00 service, and then, evening service. Beautiful memories. And guess what, we had to walk to all services. Sometimes we would catch a ride on the way. God is good, all the time, God is good.

This was the beginning of the falling away. This Pastor I am sure knows how to trust the Lord and trying hardheaded goats and disobedient sheep that songs that give power is more difficult than teaching twinkle, twinkles, or I'm so fancy. This is what I Love....the new churches, don't have any structure, but money....they don't give a crap about you....I don't know if this Pastor is still there, or alive, but the choir, needs to get from behind him and...on top of that....these same people need the pastor to pray for them or go to the jail, court, etc. with How great is our God. How about the Hymns all about Jesus. Thank you for keep this record for the real remnant of God that is still holding on with power. The Power of God. Thank you Jesus. !

Actually when I was there age I was on my way to being a young preacher , leading devotion . I was basically a old soul in a young body. So yea. I love hymns. A charge to keep I have and all those at 14 had me moaning with the rest of the church
@jariceshaw60176 жыл бұрын
Eventually, the young man got up. Lol! I see that a lot on these videos where the choir looks disengaged, aloof, and disconnected. They are music ministers not just people singing. People be singing their hearts out; but, the background people look like I wish I was someplace else. LOL. It's better they excuse themselves than sitting there being a distraction.

Wonder song. Too bad your choir has no desire to be there. What is going on? If a person will not serve the Lord, please give that space to someone who will. Pastor Jackson please talk to your choir. If they do not have the Spirit of God then they should not sit in the choir stand. Spreading unholiness and countless ungodly thoughts.
