People don't want Chidimma Adetshina to be a part of Miss South Africa for one of two reasons - one, because she identifies more with Nigeria than South Africa. She celebrates it more, and for that reason, she cannot be a part of Miss South Africa. After all she has to be an ambassador of South African culture and the South African way of life and she does not quite represent that. I'd almost agree with that argument from a cultural perspective, because even I would not be the best cultural representation for South Africa myself as an example. I am South African, but I grew up in Zimbabwe, and I've gotten to learn Shona and understand the way of life in Zim. I don't speak any South African language, and I don't know the way of life here fully, so I would not be the best cultural representation of the country. However, I do not fully agree with that argument because it is selective. All the white women on Miss South Africa do not represent the South African culture at all. They all are remnants of Apartheid South Africa and if the leaders in the ANC had the (you know what) to institute true structural and economic reforms that help the real South Africans, they wouldn't be in South Africa. Leanne Manas for example, who has the guts to tell blacks in Africa that they are in South Africa illegally, and would say how she is South African and would never leave would be up in Europe about her business. So, if we are going to say Chidimma Adetshina is not a true representation of South Africans, then, we must say the same about the 3 Europeans competing for Miss South Africa. And if we aren't going to talk about that, we just might as well keep quiet about Chidimma as well. The other reason why people are making noise about Chidimma, and this is the more important reason for me, is the idea that she is a leech, and she is stealing opportunities that belong to other South Africans. She is among the millions of foreigners in South Africa (black foreigners) that are taking resources and jobs away from South Africans and they must go back home and fix their countries and compete in their own Miss South Africa of their country. The problem I have with this argument, especially of looking at other African foreigners as 'parasites' sucking the life out of the South African economy, is that, people don't know that the success of the South African economy and our massive middle class is built on the sabotage by white monopoly capital cooperations on other African economies. Southern Africa especially and the rest of Africa is a victim of colonial companies (or apartheid companies as many would like to call them) which, instead of being punished and broken down by a Mandela government (and any other ANC government afterwards), were given a new lease of life and were allowed to thrive. Companies that perpetuated heinous crimes against humanity were allowed to continue to exist under the ANC. Apartheid crimes were not prosecuted. As a result, these companies then came in and destroyed other economies in Africa (with assistance from the IMF), bought our assets for pennies on the dollar, got cheap bank loans which allowed them to thrive, and were given a big seat in the new South African economy. These same companies have gotten a lot of people to leave their homes in West, East, Central and most especially Southern Africa to run away from tough economic conditions these South African companies instituted and find a new life here. Now, when those people come in and start participating in the South African economy and take jobs, we cannot complain about them, because it is our fault in the first place that all these people are here. It is our fault that white monopoly capital exists and it can destroy the politics and the industries of entire countries to profit off their ruin, and cause millions to come here to become economic refugees because we have the strongest economy in Africa. When we call those people 'leeches' we forget that the true 'leech' is white monopoly capital and the true illegal immigrants that should have been dealt with are the whites that came in and built a colonial state and destroyed the lives of people. If those whites (which these South Africans who hate African immigrants love to defend soo much) were dealt with in the same way the Nazi Party was dealt with after WW2, they wouldn't be in South Africa. On that note, I do not agree with the argument that Chidimma Adetshina should be disallowed to perform in Miss South Africa. The only reason why I would be against it is because when she participates in it and wins, she validates the corrupt system we are trying to destroy. At the end of this corruption by white monopoly capital, we will see South Africans who refuse to concede to the rules of capitalism and the free markets, as the DA funders would like, and choose to take a lower salary and get worse working conditions, and other Africans come in and take in that position to be cheap labour for white monopoly capital, we basically would have done what they wanted, which is to replace the South African in their own economy, just like they did during Apartheid, except under a democratic government that was voted in by the same people!

That lady's comment about the minister is absurd. Minister has to do his job and people must know that South Africa consist of Whites, Blacks, Coloureds and Indians. People should know that and that is the reality, meaning the rainbow nation. abanye abantu they are hard nut to crack, ba bambela ek'deni. As a rainbow nation, we are one as we are. I think Miss South Africa or Mrs. South Africa be a indigenous South African. I believe that South Africa should not try to be like other western or multicultural countries. South Africa has only been independent in theory for 30 years but in reality black South Africans are still discriminated against by the private sector and government.
