More of an apologist than an actual scholar I'd argue. But that distinction is really irrelevant in this case as Jeff's knowledge and experience is more than accurate enough to sufficiently expose the major errors, contradictions, and inconsistencies of this regrettably lost individual.

The way pastor speaks is over people's heads bc most do not put much thought into why they believe what they do. It's sad that most aren't pushed to make sense of their beliefs. "It's just what I believe, so what" is the typical attitude. I have to say going to college helped me greatly understand my faith in God and belief system by hearing profs who were as ungodly as they come.

This video sounds a little interrogating and combative with a professed non believer in Gods word. I'm not sure we're told to go after them this way. I've seen many of your videos that you are very gracious with them and tell them you love them and dont want them to not know what they should to be saved. I know we need to have an answer to defend our faith but this didnt feel like defense.....it felt a little cornering. That being said, I dont disagree with anything you said to him, just maybe how it was delivered. He seemed like a nice man that would have listened if he didn't feel set up by the questions. Hi everyone, I'm an atheist and I love these debates. But what about people that have never heard of Jesus or people that were born in another way of life without a monotheistic religion (asian people for example)? Are they all going to hell because they don't believe in Jesus?

They will go to hell. God will judge them on the light that they did have. All people are accountable to God whether or not they have “heard about Him.” The Bible tells us that God has clearly revealed Himself in nature (Romans 1:20) and in the hearts of people (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The problem is that the human race is sinful; we all reject this knowledge of God and rebel against Him (Romans 1:21-23). It is not that some people have not heard about God. Rather, the problem is that they have rejected what they have heard and what is readily seen in nature. Deuteronomy 4:29 proclaims, “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Everyone who truly seeks after God will find Him. If a person truly desires to know God, God will make Himself known. The problem is “there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God” (Romans 3:11). People reject the knowledge of God that is present in nature and in their own hearts, and instead decide to worship a “god” of their own creation. It is foolish to debate the fairness of God sending someone to hell who never had the opportunity to hear the gospel of Christ. People are responsible to God for what God has already revealed to them. The Bible says that people reject this knowledge, and therefore God is just in condemning them to hell.

These people are Calvinists, so I'm not sure that's a concern for them. They already consider salvation as something that is given unsolicited, so even if these people had heard of Jesus it still wouldn't be up to them whether they "accepted" him or not. I've heard Jeff describe himself as a "compatibilist," which suggests to me that, nder their system, you don't go to Hell for choosing not to convert. You go to Hell for being evil. Of course, you're born evil and can't make yourself not evil, but that doesn't change the fact that you *are* evil. You go to Hell for evil choices, and, while you can't change what it's in your nature to choose, these are still *your* evil choices.

People are so concerned with the possibility of being made to "look bad" or to be wrong; why are we so afraid of appearing wrong? There's nothing wrong with being wrong, there is something wrong when we won't acknowledge our wrongs and repent. We're all prone to being wrong, and that's okay; this is why we need Jesus! The good news is that God sent Jesus to die for our sins and to save all who put their faith in Him. It is a free gift of eternal life in Christ! Jesus will set you free--I know because the Bible tells us this, and can personally attest because He saved me. :)

The Irony here is that not one of us actually follows and lives by all the word of Yahweh. We are all learning and discovering things we need to turn away from. Why did he quote Jordan Peterson as an atheist ? My understanding of him is he has great reverence for the Bible and is slowly becoming more and more into the faith. I think his academic pursuits have led him straight to God

Hi Jeff. I really feel sorry for the guy. This is a lost guy who is trying to search for the truth, with the mish mash of religions that he follows. I hope and pray that God will intervene in this man's life and he will come to Christ. I hope this in Jesus name. Amen.

21:40 it seems like you should have taken him off camera to witness to him at that point (I don't mean be all lovey dovey weird just to finish because I think his pride and fear is forcing him to defend himself in front of the camera. His whole world could see this...) Just a thought because I think he does know that he doesn't have the truth and he's afraid of what the truth might be though he probably already knows that as well unless he's a reprobate and I don't think he is at all. I'm sure more will benefit from the video then without it though. Mormons are my favorite cult members because the way they live humbles me being someone from the drags of society I can't look down on them to witness I have to humbly plead for them to abandon what the world would see as a healthy family and community and become a part of nothing-that they can see. That's where faith in the real Jesus Christ comes in. Is someone willing to abandon family community Job and Friends to serve the God they can't see? To be an outcast? And to admit they are in error? I can't relate considering the way God called me I'm sure it would be tough. For him the devil doesn't look so bad, a wife, children, a business, a nice home a community of friends, retirement, photo albums, vacations bla bla bla. I would die for that. I was shown just how wicked and filthy and defiled and horrible this world is so when I met Christ I didn't think twice and I love Him more and more as I see this planet grow worse and worse.
