Today he's reacting to Resident Evil Village, which, as we learn, features a lot of events based on Biblical happenings. Pastor Parker compares in-game characters to Jezebel, and more. Religious Studies is actually my minor but I’m double majoring in Criminology/Poli Sci and work at a law firm currently and will be doing Paralegal courses when I have the time. Hopefully law school in the future but who knows. Trust me I’ve felt my degree was useless a lot of the times so I get you haha. I do want to try to get into coding though because it’s definitely the most marketable job skill these days

Well the game has you *fighting* evil, a lot of games do actually, one of the creators of the original Doom game, who's Mormon as well, was confused at the idea that it encouraged the worship of demons and said something to the effect of "if anything in encourages the worship of the shotgun"

I like that this a bit different. Normally we have "technical" experts, or military experts. They would dissect everything with logic and reason. However, this video and the preacher's view point is more about interpretation and perspective. Well done, good change of pace. Anyone who has played the game knows that the is very little religious elements in the story. It's more about corruption and greed if anything, at least the first few games are. After Re3, it gets WILD.

I love how you guys just also had to add in Angie's Scene even though Princeton just straight up said it's just all *creepy* dolls and said, "He's in this house full of... Lets be clear, all of them are creepy." 😂 He found a way to talk about, 'Discernment' find what evil you to address and not be carried away and just seeing demons everywhere, so you need that spiritual awareness.

How interesting! As a fellow pastor, it's very cool to see his takes. He reflects more on symbolism and what things remind him of. If I were doing this, I would bring up the practical things like how demons are only known to possess people and animals, but not objects like dolls. That'd be a cool angle to hear from too.

Wow!! This is actually perfect because there are so many ways he could interpret RE Village with its horror elements and also Ethan's objective to save Rose. Edit: Wow, he went into so much detail out of just a few moments in the games, which aren't even that deep into the storyline. I wish he had been shown Miranda's boss fight because the imagery there... Or even the CREDITS with the visual storytelling as well. I'm grateful for what's already here though so thank you!!

I may not be as pious as Pastor Princeton but it really enjoyed hearing of the comparisons to thing from the Bible. Granted like he said they may not have been intended references or maybe they were. Either way it's interesting to see someone not immediately say "oh well they are vampires and therefore clearly are sinners". like that he was able to be open and teach about what he has learned and share his wisdom alongside the game. I'm convinced that Pastor Parker can preach on anything. He preached a sermon on walking in the light, when fighting Lady Dimitrescu Daughters. I can see Pastor Parker turning Call of Duty gameplay into a sermon saying "let me talk you to about a Call to Duty, Jesus has given us a calling and it is our duty to respond in faith" haha. Great video! Pastor Parker knows his stuff, and can talk about anything. I would love to see Pastor Parker react to the Darksiders game series.

i loved this video but it also would be fun and really cool to see Priest reacting to Phasmophobia, Ghost hunting corps, Prognostic, Forwarned , Obsideo they are some nice and popular casual with friend games while these games are ok but compared to those games i named they are more to do with ghosts and demons and stuff while Village and DOOM are like you have shotgun or any weapon and you repel all the demons if that makes sense :) BTW Love your videos

The light doesn't just refer to the light of Jesus Christ, but also about transparency. Sort of like, "Tell the truth and shame the devil" allows you to overcome your own mistakes and avoid new ones by being beyond reproach. Unfortunately most of our battle with evil is internal.
