I appreciate your reviews! Just picked up the titan 70. What amp would you suggest…just playing in my studio. Thanks!

I’d suggest headphones but if you’ve gotta have an amp… I have links in the video description to the Simmons Amps I a fan of the 12in

Okay so I just pulled the trigger and ordered the Titan 70. I've been playing drums for over 40 years I've had Roland and Alesis kits. After watching countless reviews and many of your videos as well I made the decision to order the kit. I didn't want to spend $3,000 for another e kit and this seemed to give the most bang for the buck. Definitely punching above its weight class. I'm going to make a few tweaks as I ordered a 20 inch electronic bass drum and I'm making my own 14 inch electronic snare with internal trigger and going to use them both with this set. People that come on bitching about the sounds and saying that they are toy quality and such basically do not know how to tweak and make adjustments to get the best sounds. I have run into crummy sounds with Roland and everything else that I've used. It is all a matter of adjustment and this module has the ability to do that.

Congrats…. Awesome… yep, if they’d just take some time they’d see the sounds are good

I have the 50. Was considering an upgrade to 70. After this video I may not. I’m a new drummer. 🥁 I started 2 years ago at 47. I love to play, I am a flautist too. You’re my favorite drumming expert. I have the 50 because of you. 🦋Thanks for all you do.

When considering these two for me it came down to the triple zone ride on the Titan 70. The convenience of having all the sounds loaded in the module with no swapping is another bonus. With the labor day sales I just couldn't pass up the deal. After getting everything set up and plugged in through my amp I'm really glad I got the bigger kit. If I had to criticize anything it's the hi-hat pedal. It doesn't seem to be up to same level of quality as the rest of the kit. I still have my old Alesis DM6 kit I bought several years ago so I think I'm going to try using that pedal to see if it works with the Titan drum module because it's more solid than the Simmons pedal. Still learning all the settings and sounds. Waiting on a laptop stand and cables so I can start learning how to use the midi output.

I will probably be pulling the trigger on the 70 soon. I love the fact that already out of the box 3 cymbals with a 3 zone ride, and 4 dual zone Tom’s- with room to expand 2 extra ports for dual zone pads extra or splittable 4 single Zone pads! The fact that I have can have 5 cymbals is awesome. That’s nuts for under $800, much less $1k! There isn’t another electric drumset on the market that offers so many pads for so little. Sounds are subjective and pad sizes are all preferences really. However what I would love to see soon from Simmons is a dedicated hat stand, 3 zones for all cymbals, better articulations for better dynamics on the hi hats, cymbals and drum pads. Other than that- you’d be hard pressed to find a better value for a new flagship drumset for less than the cost of 2nd tier kits from the competition.

Keith really enjoy the channel,great content ,quick question,is the module for the titan 50 BEX the same as the Titan 70 if so,,do you have an opinion on which module is better ?
@KeithronPowellАй бұрын
Not quite… the T50 and T50 B-EX are the same. The T70 has more capacity. The main difference is the T70 has all of the sounds that Simmons makes installed whereas the other has to utilize the Titan Packs.

I feel it is tough to sleep on the detail that the Titan 70 has that triple-zone ride, and is stacked with the four toms and four cymbals right out the box. That being said, I think either kit would be a solid choice.
@KeithronPowell2 ай бұрын
They’re both the same with the exception of the triple zone ride. 🤔 I must’ve forgotten to say that in the video.

Keith, question for you. Is it possible to use other pads with the Titan 70? Let's say if I wanted to use a bigger bass drum pad or something like that in place of the Simmons is that a compatible thing? Lemon makes a 16 and a 20 inch bass drum pad and I was just wondering if that would be compatible?

Looking forward to your review of the Alesis Nitro Pro. It's between that and the Titan 70 for me. Please make it soon! LOL
@KeithronPowell2 ай бұрын
Not sure I’ll reviews it. From what I can see though it’s a hardware upgrade only. The sounds seem to be the same as before. With that being said, I don’t see how it will be able to compete with the T70 at all.
@bernhardhaider2324Ай бұрын
@@KeithronPowell Yo, dear Keith! I agree with your thoughts but(!) What i've seen on other Channels (mostly sponsored by Alesis) IS that along with Hardware Upgrades ( that RACK looks pretty heavy and study) they're all Dual Zone Toms, a much bigger (Mesh) Kicktower and a new Snare... Maybe you'll do a Review without Comparison to the Titan 70... Just curious about your Independent Opinion.. The Videos i've seen so far are more or less Alesis Commercials... With that being said.. Thnx for Reading and Peace ✌🏻🥁🥁
@KeithronPowellАй бұрын
Yeah… a deeper snare (means nothing to an electric kit as it doesn’t affect sound) better rack (hardware upgrade) dual zone (so basically they made a Titan 70). Newer kick drum (they made a t70 competitor). I’d love to review it independently which I will do if it is sent to me. Thing is they don’t mention the sounds, Bluetooth audio or midi. No app for your phones. I hope to put it up against the T70 once I have it to see if I’m correct. To me they made something to compete with Simmons in that category because the Surge didn’t do it.

Question: Is the Simmons Titan 50 bex module have the same quality sounds 2:10 as Roland TD 7 DMK module?
@KeithronPowell10 күн бұрын
🤷🏽♂️ I’d suggested buying the module separately since you’ve got 14 days to bring it back.

I hope that Simmons stay with the Titan series The SD series has more kits and stuff but its just doesnt seem like as grounded to me The Titans feels almost like a Roland to me cheaper version of it but i hope they expand on the titans more often

I really would love to get my Hands on ANY of them.... But as long as SIMMONS did'nt have a Distribution Partnership here Overseas or at least an EUROPEAN ONLINESHOP it's senseless... Including the shipping Costs they became WAY too Expensive... DONNER and ALESIS give you the Option to Order from AMAZON EUROPE, so with the "Prime Membership" there are NO shipping costs at all.... I was really sad about the fact that i can't Join your "Live Chat" with Jeff from Simmons , i would love to ask him about that...surely a lot of Drummers around would Love and buy Simmons Drums here too.... With that being said... Thnx for Reading and keep 🥁🥁 Peace ✌🏻 Bernhard from 🇦🇹

@@KeithronPowell Yeah, that would be awesome... You know.. If i Order an Titan 50 BEX for example... The Drumkit costs 'round 500€ ( circa 550$) and with Shipping and taxes you've got to pay something like 900€ (950$) That's not cool.... Just want to Show you what "Range" i'm talking about.... Hopefully they get the Job done 'cause SIMMONS Drums seems to be Top of the Line when it came to "Affordable" Drumkits. Sounds are great and the build quality and Hardware also...as far as I know from your decent Reviews.. 🙏🏻 🥁🥁 ✌🏻
