Really good game. One of the most interesting things I found was how different Anya is between the Jimmy-post crash sequences and Curly pre-crash sequences, how Paige voiced them made it really clear for me! Whenever she talks to Jimmy she’s using exclamation marks and praising him, when she talks to Curly she doesn’t use exclamation marks and voices her actual thoughts and feelings.

The implication was that BHVR was blocking it after the team had spent time implementing the mechanics and assets for it. Which is so insanely on brand for the studio that has been able to produce only one successful game, that I have almost zero doubts it is true. My personal theory is that BHVR didn't like how effective the AI killer was at chasing, and it was highlighting too effectively that M1 killers have little agency in DbD and rely entirely on the survivors to make play mistakes.

To sum up: Pat and Paige loved throwing around such accolades as "game of the year." Pat consistently made wrong predictions, Paige consistently failed to grasp mechanics in a given section, and chat consistently explained what to do or what had just transpired with the plot. One example is a segment early on in the game where you come upon a television which requires you to flip through the channels until you find the one that triggers story progression. Paige turned the TV on, then immediately got up and walked away while it was playing on the first channel. The chat had to start yelling at her to go back to the TV and change the channels.
