Except that one part where one of them said "what does a shipping manifest have to do with anything?!?" when the case was specifically talking about missing cargo & the manifest specifically listed who the missing cargo was assigned to and how much stuff there was. I then understood the feeling of people who yell at their tv during sportsball lols.

L.A. Noire takes some liberties with reality to make for a more compelling narrative, but the largest of all is a 1940s car, EVEN NEW, starting faster than it takes to spring 30-40 yards as a current cop and former marine. Then again, Rusty's keeping pace so maybe Phelps just sucks

The thing about the Homicide desk is that while yes it is cool that everything all ties together into a single big serial killer case The first time through it also kinda almost feels like a betrayal by the game mechanics? Like you end up finding out that literally everything you've done for like the past 5 cases was actually pointless and all the tension about whether you picked the right guy or not is lost because they're ALL wrong. And it's not like you have an option to be like "Actually it was none of them because it's been a serial killer!" not that you would even have a reason to think that for the first few cases at the very least. So like it's kinda cool in retrospect or as an observer viewing it more like a classic mystery drama. But as a player it feels like kind of a dick move.

Height is a really interesting thing that depends a lot on personal experience. I'm 5'10 in a country that I believe, the average height is 5'7-5'8, so in my head, I'm average height and the occasional 6' person cements my internal bias because I go: "See? This dude is tall, that dude is short, I'm average height" while I'm actually tall compared to the average. My brother is 5'11 so that doesn't help either lmao.

"Sorcery battle" is the direct, non-localized, literal translation of Jujutsu Kaisen. The manga and anime are called Jujutsu Kaisen in the west, that's the English title. It's like if Attack on Titan came to the west as Shingeki no Kyojin, that's just how it would be called in English.

It seems so arbitrary to me when witnesses in crime movies/games are never able to recall even basic details about a suspect. I don't buy that the pawnbroker in the Summers case couldn't have remembered "white, short black hair, clean-shaven, in shape, about your height" It's like how all the witnesses in Fargo call Steve Buscemi's character "I don't know, just kinda shifty looking" even though he has bug-eyes and a huge mustache
@graffitisamurai5 ай бұрын
Witness testimony is widely considered to be extremely unreliable. People are actually terrible at remembering details and the only thing unrealistic is the witness saying they can't recall. What usually happens is that a witness will say they remember and provide erroneous information
@johnrivers38135 ай бұрын
@@graffitisamuraisecond that. When flight or fight kicks in the brain is more focused on what to do next to survive then using energy to store memories. So more often than not whenever someone goes through a traumatic event their story can change, not because they're lying but because it's just really hard to recall details in those moments. Or the opposite happens where it's such a normal part of their routine they're not taking into account minor changes or details because they were in autopilot
