Just to continue to answer the Mensa candidate who "Newsflashed" me. Dick Groat played 14 years in the majors and scored over 800 runs and knocked in over 700. He hit 39 career home runs. His lifetime OPS was under .700. This makes him a good longtime big leaguer. He was the MVP of the league one year. Great career for most guys. Now lets talk about Dick Groat the basketball player. Please remember that he played with no three point shots and dunks were not allowed. There was no 24 second clock either. You would think scoring would be really low. During the 1950-51 season he averaged 25.2 points a game. In 1951-52 he averaged 26.0 points per game. He was a first team All-American. His scoring average would translate to well over 30 points a game with todays rules. If he played today he would have made a ton more money playing basketball. He is still thought of as one of the great players of his era and an all time great at Duke. Back then you almost always played baseball as the money was better. Now you have a choice. That was my point "newsflash".

I told my girlfriend Sunday that Brooks would whine about the mob at 18 because Brooks is always whining about something...sure enough, he made the claim someone attacked his knee while in the crowd. It seems like it is always something with him. If Bryson wouldn't have walked by in this video then he would have complained about the formation of a cloud blocking the sun. Brooks has made it abundantly clear he golfs because he is good at it and not because he enjoys it. He is a great golfer and I am taking nothing away from his skills on the course, but there are dozens of great golf personalities(Rickie, Mickelson, Kisner, Charley, Jimenez, Perez, Varner, Woodland and on and on) on tour that I would happily have a beer with before Brooks.
