Think AJ brought up a great point, what if a player like Field's or any other one from PAC 12 big 10 do want to play this fall could they transfer and play right away??? I mean I think that's the best thing to do is allow any player whose conference is shut down or reschedule for spring should have the ability to transfer to a school that's playing in the fall and be able to play right away
@anthonyperkins89614 жыл бұрын
I’ll meet you half way and say that players in their final year of school/eligibility can transfer...
@jeffreytoman52024 жыл бұрын
Thats just not practical. Imagine being the Michigan qb that transfers to any random school that is playing football, and having to learn the entire playbook in less than 30 days. Not to mention move, get housing, get your scholarship handled (assuming that was even possible), and getting registered for classes, getting student loans transferred, and so on. It's not practical

Theres no way a top 10 player risks millions of dollars by playing in the spring. Theres going to be tons of players sitting out. They might as well just cancel the season all together

Nebraska might move back to the big 12 since big 10 commissioner won't let them play out of conference

Good, they can give back the $50 million a year they get from the Big 10 network. Nebraska "We were awesome in the early 90's" isn't going anywhere.

You need to realize this. By playing college football in the Spring, these two conferences are going to pull nationally televised games without competition. $$$. The conferences don’t care about the kids, the individual schools do to an extent, but not enough to pass up Norte Dame type tv money.

@AverageatMostThings4 жыл бұрын
The problem this creates is that any athlete that have draft potential is now most likely going to sit out and not play if their conference decides or carries through with a Spring season. There is not enough time for them to recover from an injury and be ready for a combine or a draft so you are only hurting the futures of NFL hopefuls. If the players want to play let them play. Make them sign waivers and let them make the decision.
@tannerlemke78914 жыл бұрын
Just to be clear. Warren was asked about Nebraska wanting to play twice on BTN and evaded the question and then when he was in his little corner on Yahoo sports he said Nebraska would be gone. He also never said anything about Ohio State or Penn State. He strictly said Nebraska. Just like Demond Howard and Michael Wilbon who take shots at Nebraska since they are the little guy but just completely ignore it when Ohio St or someone else says something

Rose bowl= big 10 was considered the East and the pac12 was the west, so East vs west game. Most of what college football has done since uniform rules, was to crown a NC. I’m sure that was the idea with the rose bowl, even though for years the final polls came out before the rose bowl.
