It's so fun to have the possibility to be extra creative. Even if you consider yoursel a neutral lover, you still create the most inspiring colorful looks on youtube. Appreciate seeing a look using this palette. It looks very wearable. The duplicate shades aren't ones that I own. I purchase Selfridges international shipping for myself every year, mostly to buy SUQQU releases and I earn it back from the price difference on brands I enjoy (and I don't have to wait for a sale to buy them). There's 1 dupe from Midnight sun and 2 dupes from 2 other motherships and that white is a highlighter from a highlighter palette. I just bought this palette - better late than never haha 😂 got it for $70 on the PMG website, so I took the plunge. It’s my first Mothership, although I do have several of her other LE eyeshadow palettes. It’s a nice everyday palette - definitely for soft, ethereal looks. But it’s not a ‘wow’ palette by any measure. I find the midtone and darker colors lack pigmentation compared to Viseart, my main love 🥰 also there’s a lack of variety in the shades. Too many ‘gold’ type shimmers… they should have replaced Skinshow Nude by a frosted mauve or lilac, would have made the palette a million times better. It just seems like they stuck Skinshow Nude in there as an afterthought. But wow listening to your review I’m floored that there are 4 shade repeats in this palette. That’s just absolutely unacceptable for a collector, and especially at this extremely high price point. The pans are only 1.3gr of shadow, at Viseart you get an Étendu palette of 12x 1.5gr of shadow for $45, and the quality is the same as PMG who is asking for $128 for 10x 1.3gr. The value is NOT there. Even $70 is not really a good price tbh. I still like this palette and reach for it often, no doubt because it’s new for me. It’s super-wearable for daytime and I love the neutral/cool color story. But I’m 100% sure I would never ever buy a Mothership at full price, now that I’ve experienced one. Part of me still regrets having shelled out $70, and I love PMG’s makeup. Her blushes and undereye powder are my holy grail.

I’m actually surprised that this palette dropped first in Sephora websites outside of the US. I took back a palette of hers because I noticed she was doing repeats and I was like.. $125?? I’ll wait and buy another one when she has more palettes out.. Since then, she’s released all the quads and 2 new palettes.. The one I returned ended up being the one she repeated a lot of shades on in the newer palettes..So I’m still glad I returned the one I did even if it broke up my “Pat McGrath collection. “ I’m “collecting” anymore and I’m definitely gonna pass on buying the newer ones. I was gifted one of the quads for my birthday and I have only really worn it twice in 2 months.. that’s not being used enough and neither are my other 2 palettes sitting on my shelf at $125 a pop.
