I’m likely in the minority here but personally I like the look of the shadows in the packaging (color story and packaging is lovely) but I’m very underwhelmed seeing it applied. It is too sheer for me, not even middle of the road. You are correct, it will be for some and not for others. I look at it as a good thing, it’ll save me some money. Thanks for the demo and video.

This is a pallet that even I, a very fair skinned, auburn/redhead with green eyes could pull off (although the color is out of the bottle now, since my hair has gone grey/white 😂). I have to agree with the person who's saying it gives 80's vibes. I'm 55, so I remember that time well. I think the price is a bit much, but once in a while, it's good to spoil yourself.

Her quints (5 shades) were also similar cardboard packaging, but 32 quid. So why is this about twice as expensive, but with one shade less?!

The price is way too high. I could see it if they were multichromes but we have those shades elsewhere 10 times over.

Charlotte, I was waiting for your input on this. You responded to my comment on Instagram, but then turned off your comments before I could read your reply. I was excited about this, but then was quickly disappointed. I created a similar look as yours, but it looks much better on you than me. As someone with a deeper skin tone, I needed the shades to build up a lot more than they did. I had to go to another palette in order to save the look. Also, I just feel like the quality of the shadows were not as good. That plus the cheaper packaging should have resulted in a much cheaper price. On a good note, the color story is beautiful and so are you!! 😍

Shadow that are made in Italy are so much better and quality than the US… she cheeped out on this pallet. I’m surprised that Pat McGrath seems to be going backwards in quality … from her Italian baked shades in the luxurious lacquer packaging to this…🤷‍♀️ I don’t get it.

With a light or pink base and a tapping/packing technique I can get the pink to go on just as vibrant as in the pan. But it’s also very pretty used as a more diffused transition shade like you did here. One of the best things about Pat’s shades is how versatile they are!💖

That's just ridiculous pricing. I like all of the shades but the topper but this is not a look I would wear. I'd have to pull in another palette just to get use out of it. That green is beautiful but there's greens out there like that in singles for far less. No need to reward a brand who seems to be doing the bare minimum while hoping no one notices. Well PMG some of us are paying attention and spending our coins elsewhere... 👎

Charlotte, you should try Viseart coy and coyish. Full of beautiful, soft shades that remind me of the look you created. I don’t reach for them very often, but when I want a mermaid like look. They do a great job and lots of different shades in those pallets.

It does. And if that's $55 American dollars as another viewer said, not only does it look like child's makeup, that price tag is far too high. There's 4 shades. FOUR!! You can buy single duo or multi chromes from an Indie brand for that price, if not less. And I'm not the type of person who wants to pay for toppers. You can actually use any shade you have as a topper. You just have to go in light handed. Source? Me. I've done it many times. This is suppose to be high-end makeup but it has cheap packaging to boot. Maybe it'll find its way to TJ Maxx or Marshall's. If it does and the price is hovering around $10-$15 maybe then I might consider it. Beyond that 🧏‍♀️ ...

It’s a challenging palette for me because that satin pink belongs nowhere near my eyes unless I am going for “are you not feeling well” vibes. It’s the exact color of allergy eyes on me. But it’s just makeup that no one is making you buy. Haters need to chill.

@@katyp.2495 Exactly! It’s ok as a blush on me so I will use it. That’s how I use several pink and peach mattes in her Motherships. I prefer her actual blushes but the Mothership mattes work quite well as blush.

Firstly this eyeshadow really suits you. Now this has nothing to do with this video, but some months (maybe a year ago) I remember you saying you wished someone would make a peachy eye palette, but as I usually watch youtube on the telly I can't comment and keep forgetting to pop onto pc and comment. But Kiko Green Me makes a beautiful peach and brown palette.

It’s very pretty. I would use it as an add-on with other palettes. I’m a pink, burgandy, magenta girlie. The turquoise shade would be great with peach or pink, etc. The thing is, I have these shades in SG formulas that I love for a lot less money. It’s an easy pass for me even though it’s gorgeous. I don’t like the Pillow Talk mascara either! I was so bummed because I splurged on a high-end mascara, couldn’t wait to use it, then it sucked lol 😩 It literally makes my lashes straighter than before I curl them. I don’t know what it is but that mascara makes my lashes drop like crazy

Tbh, my fear of this palette is mainly because of the fact that paper packaging generally doesn't close as tight as a legit plastic one. Regardless of the "prettiness' of the packaging, this palette may get dried out/expired even faster.

While I definitely appreciate the fact that PML went a little bit outside their typical box (but not really when one goes back to the first 6-7 Mothership Palettes, the very first 3 colorful quads she gave us around 6 years ago for winter, and some of those AMAZING 6-pan MTHRSHPS), this one is just "meh" for me. Lucky for me, I do have DV II Mothership for my fuchsia and Blend Bunny Longing palette for my other 3 shades, and those can all be dialed up for impact or down for something more ethereal and mermaid-y.

If you use your finger to apply or are gentler with the brush when applying you will get a much more intense colour pay off x

I think I’m the only person but I actually don’t love the plastic packaging - I have 3 of the mothership palettes and they all have the exact same black packaging and it drove me nuts! I wrote in each one with a metallic paint marker the mothership number next to the logo. I have one quad in the black plastic so at least when this one comes I’ll know it from that one without problem. I hate pulling palettes out of my organizer and opening them up and having it be the wrong one! Excited for these colors but worried about the fall out I’ve heard mentioned in many videos - after much back and forth I did order yesterday.

Charlotte is that shimmer a lilac or a gray? It appears gray on my screen, and I believe we have the shade in one of our motherships or at least something that looks very similar … I just went through my pallets. I’m curious how it looks up against LILAC DUSK from Mothership 1 Subliminal. I’m not a pink / lavender gal.. Pinks look aweful on my light/med neutral skin tone..the ever so popular Barbie pink on me looks like I’m 6yrs old playing with kids makeup..I look ridiculous! Peach and nudes are my think…even in eyeshadows. I do LOVE a grey on the eyes that’s why I’m curious about that “lilac” shade… It looks beautiful on you❤

It is a pretty spring palette.. should’ve came out six months ago but again I don’t know what’s going on with Pat McGrath… We all want a mothership .. and yes, her last two possibly three has been flops and she hast to know that. She also has to know that we all love our mothership pallets, and the failure of the last couple is the repetition of the colors … she’s an artist…. She knew what she was doing when she put them out and I don’t get it… if you have divine one and two, which I believe most of us do… you don’t need the last two. and I think that she was trying to get that divine rose viral hit again… however we are consumers and we’re not stupid. I also don’t understand why Pat McGrath cannot give us a quad that can work well together … what the hell is that pink doing in this pallet? A MATTE grey or Hunter Green would have sued that palette so much better instead of that stupid pink that we have 1 million of🙄. All I want from Pat is a mothership that’s different from the others. Is that so much to ask 🤷‍♀️… maybe she’s just tired of it… I just don’t get the cheap packaging with her… why go backwards? I’ll wait for the 30% off sale and pick up this pallet just because I’m addicted and I can’t resist .. but I can resist full price easily at this time. Thank you so much for the tutorial Charlotte. This is why I enjoy watching you and Morgan Turner because you guys actually put the makeup on and we could see. .. you’re not just holding up product and talking about it if you’re doing an ad for the product.. hmmm if the hot pink was a peach or caramel tone, I would love this palette. I am sooooo bored of pink. This duo blue and pink is very 80's. The 3 colours other than pink reminds me a lot of an old snow palette from Tom Ford. The grey lilac tone is super pretty, and so is the blueish green. I would buy this duo only. Not worthy. I find pink on the eyes look like rabbit eyes.
