Some Japanese High school kid, a crazy old American business man, a random Egyptian magician, This French swordsman, A epic MILF hunting hierophant and some stingy old dog go on the greatest journey of all time. Filled with tears and smiles. They took the first train with 6 onboard and left with only 3...

This song speaks to me very deeply at this time. I recently realized that the spiritual community I was a part of for years is a cult. I'm now walking away, taking the last train home; the train back to my authentic self.
@stuartadamsrailfanningvideos4 жыл бұрын
Wow. Glad to hear that you are able to recover from that. I had to walk away from the job I loved because I was being accused of misconduct, except that it wasn't my fault. I walked away from a toxic environment putting up with other peoples' bullshit.

I finished my third year of highschool and came back home hearing this, thinking about every change, every horrible and every good thing that happened to me this year, just thinking "now i can go back home, at last". Also i started Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders like 3 or 4 months ago and that's how i knew the song and damn, after seeing the ending of the season i can't do anything except become emotional whenever i hear this masterpiece.

Can be listened to forever. If there ever was a song that I had to have others hear - this would be the one -it's beyond! Pat is a master at creating that "flying over Himalaya"- feeling - that's how I feel about so many of his songs. Pompous, grand, with an incredible touch - and still with feet on the earth.

True, also...didn't DIO die in 1989 or was it 1987? Because if he died in 1989 imagine that this song was being played in that concert that exact same day, after Kakyoin's death, that would be sad but amazing.

Pat kills it on last train home. Can't believe he actually suceeded in making a guitar that sound more than a guitar. From his Joni mitchell days that's been his dream
@charleshoernemann86614 жыл бұрын
Yep, beautiful sound indeed, but it's not a "normal" guitar - Pat plays a Coral Electric Sitar, which has a specially designed bridge that produces that "droney" buzzy sound to simulate a sitar.
@The_Frozen_12 жыл бұрын
And he topped that by making a custom Orchestrion. He made an entire album (Orchestrion) using it solo. Musical Genius is a term thrown around loosely these days. In the case of Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays (RIP) I would argue that it definitely applies to them.
@Pwj5797 жыл бұрын
