Pat Metheny on "Sound Traxx"

This episode of Sound Traxx featured Jazz & Fusion Guitarist Pat Metheny. Pat was interviewed at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT by Michael O'Keefe. Michael wrote and created Sound Traxx as well as directing and editing all 61 episodes. Sound Traxx aired on WTXX Channel 20 in the late 80's and was sponsored by Jim Koplik and Cross Country Concerts which is now Live Nation. Wow what an awesome video clip of Pat back in the day. Pat will never say, practice makes it perfect. He would probably say practice makes improvement, because he feels he is still a student of music and continues to stretch the limits.

Wow so I heard some of Naked Moon.I guess songs like that & Better Days Ahead have been around for quite some time just took a while to make it to vynil or cd or what have you.Pretty amazing playing.

@chatonpmg Ha! Ha! I know it looks weird. Pat at that time was an avid runner. He was nice enough to squeeze our interview between his pre-show run and getting ready for his performance. We pulled to the wide-shot just to establish it. :-)

Actually those are running shorts. He was/is an avid runner and had joined us for the interview after doing so. Back in the 80’s that’s what men wore versus today’s much longer shorts. It does look a bit strange though, I know.
