I sometimes wonder where the country would have gone in '68 if Bobby Kennedy lived to be president. Pat Paulsen's humor never gets old, only better with time.

Absolutely fantastic. Bobby, like his brother Jack, had a very fine sense of humor. Wonderful clip with wonderful people.

Michael Moore's family visited the capitol when he was a child, and he got lost and wound up crying in an elevator with RFK. He stayed with the kid while the Capitol police looked for his family. Just a great guy.

He was even if it was only in the hearts of the American people. But just for that brief moment he was, And in that brief moment he was a great president. Sleep the good sleep Bobby

Great post. RFK is up there with MLK and Abraham Lincoln. Nice to see him trying to relax.

Love how Paulsen's deadpan humor broke up RFK right at the end.

Hahaaa...this was filmed BEFORE Bobby announced his own candidacy....I still believe RFK would have won the nomination and defeated Nixon....

Without a doubt, had that monster not have murdered him, *Bobby Kennedy* would of definitely have been the *37th President of The United States* ! 🏴 💘

Pat Paulsen would've had my vote for sure! Was that Tommy Smothers, at the beginning?

Too bad pat Paulsen is no longer with us. We need someone to split the Gary Johnson vote.

This was shot in winter of '68, about a month before RFK himself announced he was running for President.
@ham56714 жыл бұрын
You must mean 1967. RFK died June of 1968.
@alpha-omega23624 жыл бұрын
@@ham5671 well the winter of 68 would be January - March 1968 so he is correct. RFK announced in Mid March 1968 after the New Hampshire primary which showed LBJ's vulnerability against Eugene McCarthy,,, RFK announced and about a week later LBJ said he wouldn't run for re-election....

At about 1:09 I would swear I saw Pat start to break down laughing. The only time he EVER laughed was an obviously fake laugh that was part of his schtick. Whatever funny is, he went way past that.

To bad Paulsen wasn't along when RFK won the California primary, maybe Sirhan would have plugged him instead. Though along with Gene Cesar it was a foregone conclusion.
