If you think the APR financing explanation is wild, let me tell you that jujutsu Kaisen has a character that actually forces you to play pachinko from his favorite romance manga and if he wins he becomes immortal for 4 minutes and 11 seconds and in this case, the pachinko is not an explanation, it literally just is a pocket dimension built for the explicit purpose of a pachinko game

2:47:50 God I got Binding of Isaac flashbacks here, I know that exact feeling Pat's having When I tried the original Isaac back when the humble bundle had it, after using the default tears for like a good two minutes I was like "yeah no I'm not okay with this" If you're going to start with a wimpy pea-shooter, you can at least make the wimpy pea-shooter feel good! Pat hit 'apathetic' in ten seconds flat using that pistol.

Last faith was so weird. The first boss had like a toally different pattern when i fought it. It only did the jumping attack and the fast slam, i fought it 35 times and sometmes i couldnt even get close enough to hit it. eventually i realized i was getting hit regaurdless of dodging and the game had just glitched so i restarted and the boss was frozen completely and didnt attack once.

I understand where you're coming from with that statement. It definitely has more than a whiff of pretentiousness to it. I don't mind listening to stuffy English narrators because I grew up watching Hitchikers' Guide to the Galaxy as a kid but the writing kind of reeks of self-indulgence.
