Thank you Mam, so we'll explained. Till today I strived to make it soft but in vain. Hence I shall try making once again the tortillas. You have lifted me up in trying the tortillas once again. You are a source of Inspiration to me and all.
@PataCake2 жыл бұрын
You're most welcome, Bren. You have to remember that some recipes, in which a lot of technique is involved, require a lot of practice before you can get them perfectly right. The final product will be so-so in the beginning, but you'll get better with practice. A few other examples besides tortillas are chapatis and rotis. You'll only understand how much pressure to apply while rolling them out, and how evenly to apply the pressure only after you try the recipe out several times. I've explained how to make the tortilla dough in detail. That's an important step, but you'll get that right. But for rolling out and frying the tortillas you'll need practice. At the same time, making good tortillas is surely not impossible.

I always used ghee but now I will try ur recipe with butter
@PataCake3 жыл бұрын
Pure ghee too would add a good flavour to tortillas. But, yeah, do try making them with butter, Dulcina.

Veena how do you make enchaladas?
@PataCake3 жыл бұрын
Clema, I don't have a video for this as yet. But enchiladas are basically tortilla wraps covered with a savoury sauce. There are many varieties of enchiladas depending on the filling inside the tortilla wrap and the kind of sauce they're covered with.

This is chappthi or roti.
@PataCake2 жыл бұрын
Maria, you could say tortillas are Mexican chapatis or rotis. In the olden days, Mexican people made these with whole wheat flour or corn flour. Nowadays, maida is popularly used.

What is the differance between mexican tortillas and Indian chappatis
@PataCake Жыл бұрын
Mexican tortillas are made with either corn flour/meal or all purpose flour. Indian chapatis are made with whole wheat flour and with less oil. Also, there are different kinds of chapatis. For example, Maharashtrians make layered chapatis.
