I just watched this and I want to visit this nursery next week. I retired earlier this year and only have big box stores to shop at. Now that I’m retired I have the time to visit these nurseries! Thank you for sharing, I needed this. Also we all go through sh!t and I can certainly empathize. Please know your sharing your knowledge helps me get through my sh!t. We’re all in this together and our plants bring us peace, calm and helps to create our own sanctuary in our homes.

Hi Pat, Poinsettias will thrive in So. Cal. but look leggy and sparce. My relative's plant in San Bernardino was huge, but the leaves & bracts, (not actual petals) stayed small. The carefully controlled greenhouse conditions that make the bracts huge, are not natural. The darkness must be long and sunlight short.

So glad to see you plant shopping again! I totally support your desire to purchase a heart leaf fern. There's a good chance it will break your heart...just like it's broken mine a bunch of times. lol But I keep coming back because they are so beautiful. And for $5 it's an affordable risk. Just keep the soil moist and they should do fine. I finally put mind next to my kitchen sink so I wouldn't forget to water it. And as always, thank you for this Rosales "refresher." Thanks to your videos Rosales has become my favorite southern CA garden center, and it is always at the top of my bucket list when I visit the area!
