As someone who works in the music industry (not in the US) all I can say is that for you to get big you need the following things: great networking and/or to be genuine. A lot of good small artists just hide in the shadows hoping to get recognized one day knowing damn well they don't put enough effort to get themselves on the map. Also, the type of stuff shown in this video is nothing more than good marketing attempts but it should be continuous because if you care enough about the music you put out you should be pushing it as most as possible. The problem with this is that you’re going to lack viewer retention. Sure you might be getting more clicks, but those viewers aren’t going to be coming back. You won’t be building a fan base that are going to anticipate your music.
