I did get 1 Alexstraza game and remember having fun with the buddy; don't remember it being super OP but obviously it + Hero power actually made Kalecgos way more viable. With the Draconic naga being axed the buddy is way down in value, so without Murlocs in the lobby for battlecry spam it just makes this kind of a worse Promo-Drake it feels like. I expect them to re-balance it in the future.

What do you think of a concept of draconic deathscale being not a spellcraft but a battlecry? Could it potentially be more broken

As a Naga I prefer if being a spellcraft thematically. The only real problem here is some buddies being battlecries. Change them, and he is not a problem.

The Beatles spell change is 100% a Nerf to beast. Even worse is that it's a nerf Overall, to being played as a counter to divine shield.

The big nerf to those buddies is usually that they are higher tier than 4 so you can no longer eyes of the earthmother to golden them

but you get the golden version anyways, most times even earlier than earthmother, so it doesnt make sense to me

@@garochompo5454 some buddies like boxcar are insanr if you high roll a eyes earlier with its effect. You then golden it and pop off

You are right, and at the time of me furiously recording I never have time to really think about stuff like that. Would it not make more sense to just have the spell say "This spell can not target Buddies."?

Alot of the buddy nerfs feel like they are to combat eyes making multiple of them golden so you can only have 1 golden buddy instead of 3

I've recently had a game on finley with that cat lady power (that allows you to dig for golden units) I've used rylak to make 6 golden buddies with golden draccari Was fun, a horde of angry golden gnomes Got stomped by snakeeyes, but worth every second of it I mean, second place with a silly tactic was more then rewarding

You should be Either into or very close to the top four by turn eleven. Battlegrounds games aren't meant to be played past turn fifteen.

Beasts are trash now , won't see much play at all . Most of the teir 2-5 beast cards are underwhelming and useless

I did, and it was stupid how big they got. Buddies should never have battlecry as a ability. Not sure why they changed some, and not just all of them.

How the change to Reno’s buddy affects ETC? I don’t see it, he still has access to it on Tier 2, am I missing something?

Nope, it's a case of my time to think on patch day. Quality vs speed. I always tring to get as much quality as I can, but the clock is always reminding me I am behind. My day usually looks like this. Turn everything on lighting/recording stuff. Sit at the computer refreshing the site that shows the patch 12pm-1pm EST. The patch appears at say 12pm exactly. REALLY quickly look it over. Maybe five minutes. Record the raw footage is usually an hour long for a larger patch. Very little time to really think about the cards like I would like to because I am up against the clock. Content creators usually get early access so they can actually post a video when the patch comes out because they have access. Almost none of them do so I am racing against people who do not edit. They record and post. Take footage into Adobe, and edit. Yesterday that footage took three, and a half hours to edit. Render the footage when it is done in about half an hour. Upload to KZbin 2-3 minutes. KZbin 5-10 minutes to ok it for copyright stuff. Then slam the post button usually FOUR hours after the data goes live. Fall face first on the keyboard, and hope people like it.

It seems most of the buddies changes were nerfs via tiering. Making them take longer to get and making it so they can not be effected by the tier 5 tavern spell that goldens a tier 4 minion. Now. Should they have nerfed all those buddies by tiering them up? No. Absolutely not. Could they nerfed them by removing that tavern spell for the duration of buddies or adding in the addendum on the spell (Except Buddies)? Absolutely 100%. But they thought it easier to treat the symptom not the actual problem. Ghoulacabra and Trigore while nerfed did not actually fix the big problem, yes triggering being taken off and making it the minions themselves dying does scale it back. But since Trigore is now gaining massive health when used with Ghoulacabra +2/+4 per dead deathrattle beast or +2/+12 say if a spiked savior gets hit...I don't really think much is being changed or affected. At least in regards to being a big beast. With more health and less attack it does make it more susceptible to poison or scam. But ultimately, it's still gonna be a massive massive minion. I think beasts are still going to be high contender for top tier tribe. Maybe lowering them down to 3.9 instead of 3.74. Making it closer to the other tribes. But They need to focus on bringing other tribes up, not just bringing one specific tribe down.

Depends. It’s good with beasts and undead because of reborn and multiple death rattle minions, which is what it should have been to begin with.

Had my first 3 games today. Played him once, and while he was not strong he did give me a top 2 pretty cleanly. Power wise he is about what he should of been I think. Need more games.

It used to be “when you reach tavern tier 5, discover 2 dragons (of any tier” Then changed to “At the start of your turn, discover a dragon (unlocks at tier 4)” And now it’s a hero power for 1 mana that unlocks at tier 4 instead I’m guessing you might have seen the first version before, but the second one has hardly been around at all

I'm not sure why they changed it to begin with. Because it's not that good really. By the time you get it online at tier 4. When you go for the discover, you're often just hitting low tier dragons that you don't want.

@@synchronium24 just like Snake Eyes it's a complete High roll Hero. If you hit the high roll you will dominate. If you don't you just go 8th. I actually played Snakeyes 3 times before the patch and in easily 20 rolls i never rolled above a 2. It's just too random to be called a "top" imo. Not like other heroes that are just flat out good like say ETC.

That means that the hero has polarized results, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a top 5 hero. In order for both of these facts to be true, it would mean Alexstrasza is "highrolling" a lot more often than it's lowrolling.

Because they want you to discover that. Ridiculous tier 4 dragon, to make your stats permanent. It's kind of the same theory they run with for demons. Where you have to find a soul rewinder, in order to make the build playable. I just think both are dumb ideas

Battlegrounds is so stale. They cycle the same things over and over again and I'm bored of it. buddies, quest, something new, quests, nothing, buddies, quests...you get it

Well typically this was the moment they released something new, and not something rehashed. That being said they did put out Dups before this, and I am afraid THAT is what they consider new. Although as someone who plays Battlegrounds, and not Duos I consider that a mode like Mercenaries, or Standard I do not care about it. They also lost some of their team to layoffs. There is a lot at play here so I giving them the benefit of the doubt as well.. I love the game, and I want it to succeed. :)
