wonderful workmanship, I dread to think the length of time and cost sending it back to Patek would have been. Some would say it should have been sent back to Patek to retain its value but this is an heirloom piece that will never leave the family so resale value is not relevant.

Bet ya this wasn't cheap at all! Maybe I shouldn't complain so much about the service costs on my 18k Daytona. I own one Patek and it is a brilliant gold timepiece as well. Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone... My favorite watches in the world are made by A. Lange & Sohne. I own a Langemati 18k rose gold. I have to say this is a absolutely stunning watch..
