@@LadyVoldemort yes they understood that you were referring to chimpanzees... but referring to black people (which just happens to be the race in this particular episode) as monkeys, chimps, etc. is historically racist. I don't think that's what you were being at all....I think you really were referring to behaviors you've seen that resemble chimps in other episodes... But understand that this particular comparison with people of color can be triggering because of how it was used to oppress people in the past.

One thing I had an issue with --and the judge does it as well --is that there's a slant as to how these shows WANT to portray some of these young people. Some of them DON'T have fathers, but MANY of them DO have ACTIVE fathers, in their home, a two-parent household, and their kid comes on the show, and acknowledges that, but yet ,the judge ALMOST seemed peeved that she ISN'T the only "special snowflake". OTHERS also have MARRIED parents, with the father present in the home, too. Or, they're divorced but still involved in the child's life. Every young person is NOT a stereotype. I ALSO GREATLY dislike how the Judge DOES NOT acknowledge the mothers' MARRIED marital status. She persisted in calling every woman, Ms. That ANNOYED me.
@AT-zl6dk9 ай бұрын
I agree. So many people assume black young people don’t know their biological father. This is not true. I come from a huge extended family with present dads and grandparents. I knew my great grandmother and great grandfather, grandparents and mother and father. I remember back in the day all the dads in their work uniforms at the ball park and football field watching their kids. This was a predominantly black neighborhood. So it’s not the norm. Even my husband family it’s the same, present black fathers. It’s not just in the black community this is happening all races. The media enjoy portraying our people as broken people.

So sad I don't know why I feel sorry for this young lady but I do something must have happen really bad in her life for her not to value herself enough to just let man run in and out of her and not even use anything . Where is her mother or dad or siblings where is her family she came there by herself. I pray she find her way Lord I securely pray that she knows she better than that.🙏🏾🙇🏽

This was the most quiet episode I’ve ever watched. The moms were quiet, the potential fathers were quiet, the mother was quiet. No one had called anyone a liar or lied about what they did. They all acknowledged and accepted this situation for what it was. This was such a mature case. I did not expect the end result, but nobody has disrespected anyone on this episode. And it was really nice to watch. 😇 I do hope that everyone is doing well and that sweet little baby is doing well too! They all deserve it. 💖

I do like that the young man said “Hold Your Head Up Babygirl” people make mistakes and at the end of the day at least she was respectable enough to seek out the father of her child, although she doesn’t know, she cared enough about her daughter to find out and that’s what matters, I hope she finds the father and I wish her and her child the best.

Meyybe Eliza that’s exactly right! Despite how everything went down in terms of who the baby’s father was or who all she slept with, It took a lot of strength to go on and try to find the father of her precious baby girl. Seems like she has a good support team and with that young man saying Hold your head up baby girl, that had me in tears! There’s no telling what this young woman has went through in life. It is not okay. I hate when people say that to these girls/woman. It is not okay to being sleeping around and not know who your child father is. It’s shameful. Embarrassing and should be looked down upon. The coddling is crazy.
@AndyJ6192 ай бұрын
I understand your take…but let’s not judge….we don’t know the circumstances of her life and clearly she’s embarrassed. Her demeanor may mean that she’s changed. They’re all still really young and people make mistakes. There have women in the 40s with multiple kids making these same mistakes….those are the ones I feel more this way about because you should know by that point. I wasn’t sleeping around but I’m in my late 20s now and can say that the person I was from 18-22, I am not that same person from a maturity standpoint (decision making, handling trauma, handling relationships, etc). I think them saying it’s okay is not meant to coddle but to encourage because you’re here now and have to move on. Okay is not “that’s great”. Also, the judge did talk about “adult” decisions so it’s not like the behavior wasn’t addressed.
