My parents made many sacrifices growing up and I don't feel Its fair to tie them down by having to watch my children everyday to save money. My mom was a stay at home mom and she cooked, cleaned, paid bills, raised us, etc. Its her time to travel and when me and husband or my siblings and their spouses want a date night have a ill child, or emergency need they step in. It's called adulting and being responsible. Grandparents are not day cares. My kids are out of school until further notice. Me and the hubby have to work it out. He works nights, I work days, when they are in school we paid for after care and we don't get any assistance. Now I check on them with the cameras I have, prepare their breakfast, snack, lunch, snack , tell them when to eat, read, take a nap and 1 of my kids has autism. I started a side business to get the job done and make ends meet. If I have a wedding my kids stay at home until my husband has to go to work and my parents are the last resort.

That's why my husband's mother have not been in my children's lives for 11 years! We have 5 children ages 9 - 15. She has never even met the youngest 2. (Don't even know what they look like.)
