Is there a video or creator that covers some of the advanced features? I noticed there is a trade search with stat weightings and would love to learn more about how to optimize my build cost effectively.

GGG just needs to hire Ziz as a player onboarding consultant at this point so we can have some real in-game tutorials. Ziz has the highest awareness of new player roadblocks.

I am Brand new in PoE and trying to use PathofBuild, as a first time user this video literaly helps me 0% with understanding how to use PathofBuilders, or what it does, good job

Same here man. All these “beginner guides” and “beginner builds” are genuinely misconstrued with the word “intermediate”

@@killuamexe Yeah it feels deliberate, they make a beginners guide, but immediately start with super technical information, whiteout even trying to explain how / why things work in the game

@ i get that it can be tough to break it down to a level of understanding that they havent had in maybe a decade so idk, just super frustrating. I really hope poe2 has better in game guides

I have already tried using path of building before but imo it was really really overwhelming I only have around 140 hours in poe and since then i’ve just been using maxroll, I might go back and try this again, I appreciate these videos 🤝

Creating a build on PoB is the easy part. The difficulty is knowing the jewels, uniques, anoints, and each mod that rolls on what items that adds to a build. There is to much clutter for beginner to really create a competitive build for higher tier content

Will there be a next part where you go further into depth about how you actually test out making a build in PoB and show the little things you add that make them add up? Whenever I try to make one, I always get overwhelmed by the amount of choice and I guess just the lack of knowledge of interactions and scaling and I just go play the game instead and try to figure it out while I'm playing. I don't care about understanding build guides, I want to learn the principles of how to make builds.

A PoB Noob Trap is the "search Trade" Feature - while it shows items that have more DPS or whatever you set it to, it doesn't include other stuff. Hey, a Weapon that gives you +20 % DPS, lets buy it. Oh I need 70 more Int to use it, RIP. Also my Fire Res is 20 now - if I could wear it.

Get the gain frenzy charge every 15sec exarch implicit. If you have double charge duration they stack to 3 in 45sec

I feel the most difficult thing with PoB is to imagine what skills without offense/defense do and how they could turn a good build into a really great one. You also need to have in mind a lot of uniques special effects. PoB is really a powerful tool, but it requires really good knowledge of the game itself to use correctly, even if just checking out a guide.

Thank you for doing this video, the one thing I couldn't figure out what spots to get and when on the skill tree. I just tried to do my best with what made sense, however I must have gotten lucky cause I'm doing wayyyyyyyy better than I did without using build guide.

Good video for digger deeper into POB. Good part is the Mac version of POB is working great, can't say the same for new league, Devs pooched up the Mac patch, still can't play... Things had been running great til then.... Been waiting.......waiting... to try your build....

Just so new players are aware l while build guides are great for getting your feet wet. The better way to think of them are as guidelines. If you want to Understand Poe a little better ask yourself why it works. And think about how the pieces come together. This will go a loooooong way for your thought process.

Don't be afraid to just wing it. Your first build doesn't have to be an absolute minmaxxed T17 map clearing machine. Just play the game and experiment, respeccing is easier than ever now
