how do you get the ring to work? I build up cold but they never shatter for me :O

@@carly110698 You need Herald of Ice of course, and in your passive tree, be sure to have Essence of the Mountain at the beginning and Harness the Elements. You should check out the first video where he explains that he uses those points to build up freeze with the Bell. So the same mechanics is used on top of that with Herald of Ice and the Ring to kill enemies.

Dont use elemental focus on herald of ice when you are using that unique ring. You will notice that HoI will chain explosions and shatters way more because now your herald will chill as well to proc the ring.

Thanks. I was having issues procing herald of ice explosions. Im also using the tec "Resonance" from skill tree + combat frenzy aura and shattering palm skill gem with culling strike for easier and smoother power charge generation for mapping, which means help keeping me moving to packs and sustaining power charges.

Thank you! For some reason my ring does not shatter, I am building cold damage (to about 20% or so) but they still don't shatter, unsure what I need to do. Pretty new to the game so any help would be appreciated!!

everything is almost the same. But why can't I freeze the slots? The weapon in my hand has elemental damage.

Question to guys who plays a lot, should I commit to this build or go with storm wave? I wonder if going semi-ranged isn't better as you won't die so often. Even if damage is a bit lower, it could be worth it.

Actually, I was playing Storm wave early on my journey and switched to Tempest Fury at some point. Combined with Charged Staff, you really have a decent range for mapping so it's an enjoying process. And playing with the Bell for bosses is tremendously faster than Waves. The important point is to play around your mana, that's the biggest limiter factor. Once you dealt with it, the build works wonder :)

Probably if you have enough cold damage on your gear pieces. Otherwise, it will be difficult to chill enemies consistently with Herald of Thunder

I'm not sure if this build will still be playable because a note just dropped saying that Stun and Freeze are getting nerfed. What's interesting is that Monk keeps getting nerfed all the time, but they don't touch other builds like Minion Thorns or Mages.

Don’t panic yet. Freeze-chain will be nerfed. It means that It’ll be garder to re-freeze enemy after freeze. I guess you’ll freeze and kill enemies faster than the freeze will pass on them. The worst thing might be bossing scenario. We don’t know yet how drastically will they nerf it. I wish it won’t be higher than 50%.

Everyone don't panic !! If you are decently build those changes don't matter ... mobs don't live for a second freeze! The changes made to combat the permafreeze mages and big parties could chain

@@Billakos_K I guess, Bosses = always hand of chyula + hypothermia. I also use call of the brotherhood ring so all my lightning dmg is converted to cold. I already freeze bosses within 2 seconds. Will see how drastically low will be freeze buildup after patch.

It is not, hé doesn't use freeze, je litteraly has a support gem that negate elemental ailments on Herald of ICE
