I wanted to keep these mechanics videos really short and concise compared to more longer form content where I discuss how a mechanic works then talk about it a bit more beyond that. I also don't have the benefit of experience playing the game like some other creators have had to be able to speak about their own playthroughs during the playtests, so it's hard to form an opinion on any of these topics without the context needed

Be sure to come back for the next video where I'll be discussing other mechanics from the upcoming path of exile 2 early access releasing on november 15th" *music plays. Also it is worth mentioning that Mark said that there is a unique (or something else not sure) that can transform the dodge roll into a teleporting dash. So there is a wiggle room for modifications.

Personally I think double sun l stun threshold is a big nerf for the cost of giving up the roll Especially because, as I understand. The squishier/int based builds that really would want this are going to have much more difficult time getting it, if at all

To be fair, the Keystone just says "Cannot Dodge Roll". Perhaps turning the Dodge Roll into a teleport is a way to circumvent the downside

@@Strill_ but you still can't block slams, right? - which are the hits most likely to stun you. So having that emergency movement still feels like a better option to me. Then again, I've also not seen a single movement skill yet that I can think of

@@Strill_ yes, but the Dodge roll is faster at the start, and slows down later. So it sounds like it will still be useful for getting out of those big aoes, where block doesn't help

gonna take the keystone that increases your stun threshold but removes your ability to dodge. hate that mechanic in isometric arpgs

This game is SO going to suffer a rather quick demise. People want to MOVE to get through empty areas. Actively reducing the ability to cover ground will bore modern players to tears and they'll go find another game.
