I like your video :) I’d like to emphasize that Shock is a 20% increased damage taken. So it works differently than penetration, exposure or you having 20% increased lightning damage. Damage taken calculates the damage a mob takes after mitigation, as it calculates the modifier later into the damage scaling formula; it has no diminishing returns. While increased lightning damage is additive, and gets calculated earlier, before mitigation (diminishing returns). Just trying to help incase you didn’t realize how strong Shock can be. Especially with increased effect to Shock/ailments!

I love how our community is growing with new enthusiastic players! Let's go over one more important distinction between penetration and exposure. Let's say a boss has 75% lightning resistance. Exposure will inflict a base -20% lightning resistance debuff, excluding any 'increased effect of exposure' modifiers. Exposure would reduce a flat -20% resistance, meaning 55% lightning resistance remains active. Let's say we have 30% penetration; the remaining 55% now gets reduced to (55% x (1-0.3)) = 38,5% lightning resistance. We always hammer the fact that capping our resistances (75%) is crucial, as having sub-75% drastically increases the damage you take. Like, immensely. And you probably got one-shot once, or too many times during the campaign. Most of them were highly likely due to low resistances! Usually penetration and exposure is more effective against bosses than trash mobs, as they have higher resistance values. This is why penetration and exposure are incredibly strong. It's these small, but impactful intricacies that makes PoE... PoE. Edit: I can't provide any specific tips, i.e. as I haven't looked at the passive tree specifically for deadeye yet. I just started rerolling to my trusty old bow lady...

@@PhaseShifter theres nothing wrong with shredding lightning resist AND using shock debuff, I would personally recommend increasing magnitude for shock, so instead of 20% more damage to shocked targets, you increase it, I currently am at 47% extra damage to shocked enemies

Nice build mate but dont get Shock and Electrocution confused. Shock builds up really easy anyways as all lightning damage applies shock when it crits or hits enemies hard. Electrocution is what actually "stuns" them and makes them immobile for 5 sec.

also regarding single target defenses, check out these Mark nodes.. for example "Marked enemies cannot deal critical strikes" is absolute huge (already has been in poe1)

Almost exactly the build I'm currently doing (only just came across your video) although currently lower level, I'm using Acceleration support gem with lightening rods, So those lightening rods get in the ground faster

For electocuting arrow i would recommend unbreakable. Its a str support gem that gives u 200% stun threshhold while you are doing the animation.

Yo it really depends on the gear you're dropping, you have to kind of balance it. I'm going to write a properly written and planned guide to help with this kind of thing. Dex will limit what skills you can use and str will limit SOME of the drops you get along the way. I'd advise mainly Dex as this will be the most limiting factor

Isnt the ring reducing your damage? Changing the cold to shock means you aren't afflicting chill for the %15 boost.

When I socket Lightning Infusion into Herald of Thunder, all of my skills dmg/dps values increase with the aura active. The change to Lightning Arrow is the same as if I'd socketed it directly into the skill. Wouldn't it be better to use it this way? Or is this a visual bug I'm hitting?

Never mind, they just fixed it in the 0.1.0d patch, "Fixed Infusion Support Gems on Herald skills applying the gain damage as extra elemental damage to all attacks instead of just the damage from the Herald skill"

@@PhaseShifter Martial and lightning infusion - just swapped - and my bow is ok for my level, quiver is baaad. Before swap i just martial + lightning infusion bow shot and paired with Electrocuting arrow to get the stun going. Other skills did zero dmg, thats why i found this guide :D

You mentioned about using chain with lightning arrow, yet lightning arrow cannot chain? Is that just an oversight or a tooltip error?

The LA projectile cannot chain, however the beams it emits after contact can chain. If you click the arrow next to LA's dps it will open the stats for that skill and you can see two tabs, one for projectiles and one for the beams with their descriptions and stats. ;-)

I'm level 23 in Act 2 and only have two sockets in each skill, and I've noticed you've been able to add up to three gems per skill. - Knowing which parts of the passive tree to prioritize first since beginners are climbing to your level but have fewer points to spend till we catch up. - Expand on stats to gear.

@@reveng3r they just nerf a little but they didn't nerf frost wall. your main skill is frost bomb+frost wall. those two are already OP and can kill bosses easily. also instead of eye of winter i use spark cold conversion to kill white monsters fast. my build is much stronger now vs bosses and faster mapping.

alot of streamers play together and or though some deny it get "secret" help, but also alot since they stream play almost 24/7.. once after act 3 you can start mapping and or do "hard" acts than the levels come pretty fast but the builds help to, iam stuck on act 2 boss do to him glitching and me insta dieing on his sand phase or his end phase with portals he moves to a portal and i cant even hit him so might give up and start at least 1 more class... or hopefully they fix the act 2 end boss
