Good catch on that last bit about "Let your souls feed the First Ones!" I totally missed the implication! I sincerely hope we encounter Grigor in PoE2.

Poe2 definitely takes place in ezomyr. Executioner mentions the first ones, theres the werewolf transformation gem.

I really hope so! Or maybe Ezomytes have come into mainland Wraeclast. Either way they are a group I've always wanted to see more from and definitely some of the environment shots in PoE 2 make me hopeful we are on Ezomyr ourselves

@@KittenCatNoodle if you look at some of the playthroughs that happened at ExileCon, act 1 takes place in Ezomyr. The demo seems to contain a lot of information about the Ezomytes and the history of the region, but unfortunately, we don't get much of a chance to read the NPC dialogue in the playthroughs that were recorded. The immortal NPC that was hanged in a tree called "The Hooded One" seems to have a lot of information for the player. Can't find much info about him as of yet though.

@@KittenCatNoodle Here's an interesting, maybe direct dialogue from GGG. One of Einhars voicelines is "The end is coming, exile. Of that, I am sure. ...Just not so sure when. Maybe tomorrow? Maybe three years from now. No more than three years from now.". Einhar was introduced in March 2018, the planned release for POE2 was late 2020 (now pushed to January 2021), which is of course, no more than 3 years after Einhar was introduced.

After your most recent podcast with Tri and the implication that the Ezomytes might have settled in Pharryll relatively recently compared to other tribes such as the Maraketh, I'm wondering if they are meant to be surviving Kalguraan from the first expedition or explorers from even before, considering their vague norse inspiration which seems to be underlying in both with Thane and Runes. The distinction of their belief is also interesting considering they don't truly worship gods, rather natural beings that may or may not exist compared to people that rose to Godhood like the rest of Wraeclast does.

The similarity between the number of ancient gods and conquerors , plus the fact that there is a fifth figure at the head of their respective organization , makes me wonder if these could be related in any way.

Just started the deep dive that is POE Lore while at work and my question from this video is Einhar mentions the survivors and the grove. Does this mean Oshabi is technically an Ezomyte as her domain in Harvest league was “the heart of the grove”. Guess ill have to keep watching more videos to find out. Thanks for the amazing content!

Great Video! I think the interpretation that the first ones lit the sky on fire isn't perfect. (I'm assuming that item flavor text is written from the perspective of humans unless it is quoting some non human character.) I think the lore author is alluding to something bigger than the first ones, a reference back to the Natural Hierarchy Talisman text.
