Great video! I mostly felt the same way when I first heard about this. It was ultimately a bad partnership for them but they kept coming back even after they weren't paid or treated well. Anyone who has watched Belton for a few minutes knows he's an asshole and most people that watch him don't care about what he says. They are there because he is more knowledgeable than they are. If anything this may only impact Belton's ability to get loans from players in the future. This "expose" should have just focused on the Brass Tax, the strongest points: Breaking ToS, Doxing, and the over reliance on taking loans. Instead this document repeatedly indulged in airing, seemingly, every personal grievance they had and it had a detrimental effect to the potency of the document.

I empathize with the guy. A streamer was publicly talking crap about him, saying his wife faked cancer, and then doxxed him when he had a very unique name…anyone would want to defend themselves and the long and detailed receipts are necessary when ur a nobody with no platform going up against a streamer who has loyalists that will defend him no matter what.

Belton being a public figure changes the dynamic entirely. If Belton were a random, nameless trader/crafter in the game, then nobody would care.

I’m close to your point of view but i think there are people who treat poe as a job and they like it so whatever.. and this expose meant for people like this so they will be aware about Belton. And also there are people who just enjoy drama. I also think that all this situation is laughable but for someone it might be important and this document can be helpful

It's not that difficult to understand. People worked together with a strategy in mind. People do it all the time. Look at other people like Snap or Empyrian, it's the same thing. They cooperate together for group play strategies. The only difference here is instead of group play it's group crafting. Why you sit back and judge it and say it's cringe is beyond me. If Empyrian decided not to split the money with his group after the first week of group play you wouldn't be sitting here telling his team mates that he screwed over "if it's that bad just leave". Of course they would rightfully be upset and of course they would say something about it.

You keep repeating the same thing "if you are so good to make x currency so quickly, why not keep doing that?" Well, if I am that good, why not invest it into a mirror item, I get it back + inflation over time AND at the same time I keep farming x currency quickly. Its strange how you cannot get this concept and you repeat it so many times. For me this is obviously about RMT, as you pointed out as well. Some people also asked "why did Belton have that guy's paypal?". Every time you see a guy making so many mirrors you have to think he cannot possibly be making it for himself and thats it. In a TEMPORARY league. Also, some people live only by playing poe. Not all of them stream the game. I wonder how they pay the bills....

@@Sp33dyJohn oh I totally understand why investing makes sense but my point is, is this worth all the stress just for more currency when he's clearly very competent at making it. How much more does he need and why? Like you say, we may know the actual reasons as you alluded to. But the main takeaway is, if you can make 7 mirrors in a week, maybe save yourself the stress of all of this

Both Belton and the unhinged individual who went to this length to make this doc need to step away from this game and get some much needed help. This is an insane post for someone being mean and vindictive to you.
