The hatz can be knocked out of the sky by you. And you can land on the hats and the other bird too. Hats you can make them stop flying seems like when they're low stamina over water.

A better survivor sub I chose is Swim speed. It's faster than Thala in water too in full water abilities. Now one bar before adult. And my drone will roam gondwa amd debuff random dinos

Yea that’s an interesting perk to have. Being able to run from one of the fliers that can kill you by swimming Is pretty funny.
