It's strange to me how stego is so capable against a couple apexes, or even a pack of mid tiers, but will struggle against a larger solo mid tier.

Because there fast enough to keep up with it and have the Stam to zone it with its tail attack dasp and pycno are also good at killing stegos

tbh if a single stego can fight back against a rex duo the rexes arent very good, from my experience a rex could probably just just time when to run in and trade hits with the stego as long as it hits a body shot, and as long as it doesnt let itself bleed hard it has a chance at winning due to a heavy advantage in overall damage and hp, but a stego can definitely kill a single rex if it know what its doing. But again, against two GOOD rexes? Probably not lol. But yes as the other guy said mid tiers have a bit easier time overall fighting stegos because theyre faster and can dodge the hits more easily, whereas a rex or a cocky group of small dinos are either big targets or just run in all at once XD at least from my experience fighting small tier packs.

I think they meant it was HARDER off against an allo lol, probably because it’s unexpected for a solo allo to try a stego, not to mention they are quite agile compared to things like rex.

Crazy that you can bite those smaller dinos and it doesn't instantly kill them. If a turky is in the mouth of something that big it should just die immediately from a snapped spine.

True lol but it is a game so it would ruin the fun, and a body shot will put them on 1/4th hp, majority of the time you just hit em on the tail because theyre so small and fast.

tbf they were small so even if they were hunkered I had a chance at killing them. Now vs an ADULT, I would have no chance, especially with how far it can hit you with its tail slam right now. If they make the tail slam hitbox smaller like it was after the nightstalker update however, I might have a chance. I also have an older video fighting an ano with allo when it had a smaller tail slam hitbox. However it was still extremely difficult lol.

​@@dtbrex08 I know that path of titans isn't all about realism, I mean stego and rex never saw each other ever irl. In fact, Rex and humans are closer than stego and rex. But I just fail to see how a potato with legs crouches then all of the sudden it can tank Rex bites, Allo and spino claws, and trike hits. I've killed so many things just by crouching and tail slamming. Speaking of which, I completely agree about how the AOE is hard to dodge and should be shrunk. A potato should not be able to solo multiple apex species.

Ano is definitely quite easy if theyre bad, HOWEVER with how ano is right now, a good ano is almost impossible to kill unless you have a big mixpack or at least 2 apexes, their tail slam hits you from a mile away lol.

​@@dtbrex08This is definitely NOT true, Ano in a 1v1 is one of the most unthreatening creatures in the entire game especially with how easy it is to starve / dehydrate, in a group they're definitely more problematic but they're definitely not broken and "impissible" to kill lol

I’d also really like to know if you have any tips for how to not just be killed by raptors all the time lol, that’s basically the main thing that makes me not want to play Allo right now (Other than it being powercrept into oblivion lol).

Thanks! Bucking and turning in the direction the raptor pounced you helps with fighting them from my experience. In my opinion allo doesn’t need a “buff”, its very strong, it just needs a tlc. Its strong, op if the right build is used, but people just want it to have more shiny things imo lol (model + animation updates, more unique abilities, grapple(iirc confirmed ability for allo at some point), etc.).

I am just starting to play allo and I love it. I love the skill expression in this video. Can I ask what build your using? My build is balanced normal bite, claw attack, tough scutes, traction, and tail attack. Can I also ask what platform you are on and if you use controller or kbm. And lastly would you ever be interested in 1v1ing my iguanodon?

I use a very similar build to yours, only differences being I use resiliant hide instead of tough scutes, and I use long distance runner instead of traction. I play on pc, but I used to play console for a long time, when I got PoT however I had bought a pc that year so that's what I play it on. I'd be interested in 1v1ing your iggy! Theyre very strong lol, don't think I've ever soloed one with allo!

Your build, skill and tactics are very interesting to me as a new allo player so I have many questions about it and about the 1v1 yeah that’s not a super fair match up I mean pick whatever Dino you want to fight it sort of thing. It’s just cool to find other high skill level players and I like sharing, and getting knowledge from them for how to better mine and there pvp. I got that goku mentality lol like "heard your pretty strong let’s fight" to better both players kind of thing .

Why didnt they just make Allo's hatchet bite a charged bite instead of a weak bleed attack that takes AGES to land? Also how do mod devs do better with modded dinos than the devs with their non-modded dinos?

I think hatchet bite couldve been better, but imo mods can be really good or really bad, it just depends on the persons opinion on the mod. Imo official dinos are balanced better but some good mods like PTs giga have really good sound design, but theres good and bad on both sides

I fully understand the reasoning behind the Ano AoE effects lookin' goofy (and I agree, unfortunately however we do need a visual indicator of some kind), but my brother in christ, you're fighting coffee tables; its gonna look goofy no matter what. I do have to ask, you think they learned how to fight from Simply? Slow tables in more way than one, I tell ye. I randomly stumbled on this channel today, just after watchin' my friend get his Granite Skin after long last, and I have to say I definitely enjoyed this too. Can't say I'll sub just yet, one video does not a fair judgement make, but don't be surprised if I become a consistent fixture of your comments...whatever worth that is to you.

Fighting 2 alios solo is suicidal, they regenerate health way faster than you + have more stamina + are faster. You can't win unless they do a huge mistake basically.

It's not as though the two alios dont know that, too. Its either stand and fight now or be chased anyway and have to fight regardless. At that rate, find a rock and plant your butt next to it until you starve, they mess us/give up, or inevitably kill you anyway. Thats the hang-up with playing solo I suppose

Yeah hatz are pretty hard to fight, my advice would be either to facetank it if its just one and try to run if theres two or more, might have a slim chance at getting away. Glad this helped!

I always try to buck them off while using precision movement towards them, I also set my keybind for buck to T, as well as space, since buck and jump are the same keybind. I also have precision set to my ALT key.

In a way yes, but imo resilient scales is better since bleed ignores armour and can do a lot over time, so with resilient you can get rid of bleed in seconds if you dont let them stack it.

Lol that stego gave up cause he couldn't land a single hit on you,allo hit hard for a mid tier and it is frustrating when you cant hit them back xD,I remember i was fighting a mix pack of two maips and a yang as a bars,I couldn't land a single hit on them till they dropped me to half health from all the bleed so i changed my playstyle cause they were good at pretending to attack then pulling back in last sec to bait my attacks,so instead i just decided to take a guaranteed hit so i can also guarantee hitting them so i got a tail slam on the maip's head,I feel like that dropped him to like 25% health and yeah started winning it after it,sometimes it is just about being unpredictable

I have some content for sucho, but as of right now Im focusing on making a "compilation" only with sucho using its normal claw attack, not claw barrage, even though claw barrage is better atm. So you can probably expect one at some point but they will only consist of fights with the bleed claws lol, I wanna make sure its viable still.

Bleed claws only do 5 damage still, but they do quite a bit of bleed. Claw barrage however was changed in the ptb, in the ptb it was nerfed at max to 65 damage, rn they do 85 damage, so hopefully it wont be as op as it is right now, and bleed was also buffed in the ptb so hopefully there will be sucho players who use both claw attacks, instead of 90% of the sucho population using barrage. 🤣

The stego gave up, which is not a thrilling end to the fight, but it was all meatballed and had barely hit you, if not, not at all. Stegos weaknesses are mid tiers. They can shred a rex or spino as long as it knows what it's doing, but others like the Alio, Cerato, Pycno or as shown, Allo, can easily dodge the tail swipes and sneak in bites. I always try to put in as much damage as possible, in case I get lucky and kill something. So it totally had a reason to just sadly lay down and wait for you to butcher it. 😆

I have before, but in the video I use long distance runner. Imo its not worth the stam penalty, or at least imo it just feels better to have as much stam availability as possible, which long distance runner provides.

I agree with you, its kinda weird that its so easy to bait out its attacks, but at the same time I dont play stego much and would like to see how a good stego does against other things when it actually times its tail attacks right, I think thats the main thing that leads stegos to a disadvantage is not timing their tail attacks correctly, and therefore leaving a huge opening with their cooldown.

@@dtbrex08 I’ve played steg for quite awhile and if your plan is to just bite the tip of its tail there is no timing as its swing is very easy avoided with precision movement. The only chance you have is body blocking (if you still got the health to do so) even if you do body block you still get bit 3 times for every one swing. There is no winning with steg, only stalemates.

Honestly raptors as a whole kinda destroy anything that doesn’t know what theyre doing lol, and some things just get destroyed period. Like hatz rn gets bodied by a single raptor, and it takes forever to buck them off on any dino, if the raptor is super sweaty it can probably kill anything rn tbh 🤣 the ptb nerfed raptors quite a bit though so hopefully itll feel better whenever that update becomes live!

Not everyone is an expert :) As someone who also plays on this server, I may well end up in one of these vids someday....But I am very much a newbie, so I don't expect to win often (or at all unless I go for an easy gank). It's all a learning experience though, practice makes perfect. As a craftsman I'll just say this..... "The only difference between an apprentice and a master, is the master has failed more".

I've never fought amps as they arent on the server I play, but they definitely look strong XD. Imo hatz is pretty balanced, an apex player with godly skill won't really have a problem dealing with them, as long as they face them. Once an apex faces a hatz its all over, especially if the hatz is tailriding, since it takes a while for the hatz to speed up and it also doesnt have much hp, so the apex can just chase them down unless they fly away, in which case they will most likely be 1 shot to a lot of things.
