Japan is 1 of my least favourite battleships for tech tree don't know why but you've kind of made me think about them more. Have to ask is the PATH TO battleships only or you planning on crusiers & destroyers aswell

Is it worth doing the Italian line because I’ve done all BB lines expect from the newer American line and just got the Yamato and kleber yesterday so I’m happy with that. But the Italian line doesn’t do much for me but I want to collect everything but I’m not sure if it’s a waste of time

I took a few cheeky shots over the small island which got your attention, I just was very fortunate to not have lost half my HP to your salvo. Was a pretty close game but your team had the slight points lead with little time left. Still was a great match tho, we both came top for our teams

Thank you. This was helpful. I’ve been using it like my previous ship. So. Reasonably aggressive. Figured bigger guns bigger damage. After this I’ll try giving myself more space. Like you said at the start of this 1. Hard to hold back an not take the charge.

Only thing I hate and would love to see wargaming buff is the stock hull HP to around 55k because 49000 (tier 4 battleship max hull value) at tier 6 makes it horrible to help your team majority of times

Personally, it being my first of two VI's (the other being Gneisenau... ergh.), Nagato is a VERY good ship. The amount of guns is just right for dispersion, the 16-inch guns consistently devstrike all cruisers as well as chunking most US, IJN, French and Italian BBs and BCs beyond 18km. Not to mention it is quite a good brawler despite the issues with speed and armour.

The only good things about this ship are that it has excellent gun angles and what follows is better--though it'd be difficult to be worse. This ship was a colossal disappointment, considering the history of the class (only survivor and don't let your crew smoke in the magazines). It's also a big reason I cordially detest Takagi on Japanese BBs. It can achieve 27knots which is pretty much on par with other ships in the tier. Like all Japanese BBs, you have good Nagato and bad Nagato. Good Nagato can be shockingly effective, but get used to Bad Nagato. You'll see it a lot.

the nagato is probably the only dreadnought that requires big brain, cuz i find this ship very tricky and hard to play well (always most of the time 100k-150k dmg at best), i may not have your current build commanders inspiration, i have QE azur lane & Cunningham commanders boost accuracy, i may not have the 10% for the Marksmanship but 7% is already good enough for me to exceed this ship well, even rare moment i get *8 shells hit 18km with railgun accuracy*, sadly not a dev strike but very good solid damage to a fuso. And i won't believe such things the nagato *perform better* than the Iowa. Very good myth joke from the people lol

Quick one Spartan. Unrelated to this, but more towards the Japanese destroyer line. Everyone (including me) runs the Concealment System on their top tier destroyers. Have we got this right? On the Shima we can reload the Target Aquisition Mod instead which increases your spotting range by 20%......... wouldn’t it be better seeing people 20% sooner, rather than them seeing us 10% later? Or is my maths or game dynamic understanding off? All the best, and keep doing what you’re doing buddy.

Yeah you're misunderstanding the target acquisition mod it doesn't buff your spotting distance it's got nothing to do with you But with the enemies detection radius (the blue circle) what it helps is when a ship shows up on your map but not on the horizon if you get what I mean, the ship shows up as a darker red on the map and you can't see what it is until u get closer, it also buffs your guaranteed range of acquisition from 2km to 3km which can be useful for charging into someone's smoke or ambushing someone from behind and island but overall the concealment mod is by far more useful to you as a destroyer and you will severely suffer as any destroyer that can't hold it's own in a gunfight.

target acquisition is for detecting people by proxy or when you get to 3km from them if they are in smoke or behind an island it increases your range of Guaranteed Acquisition

If I have two opposing destroyers with a base detectability range of 10 (for ease of mathematics) and the enemy has a base of 10km (as do I), if he has concealment mod, that will take his detectability range down to 9km. If I have target acquisition fitted, my detectability is still 10, but I will spot him at 10.8km (9km + 20%). Do you see what I mean?

I struggled with the Nagato, found it really fragile until i got it fully upgraded. Have had some amazing matches in it, but its just not a go to ship for me with the KGV and Sinop available at the same tier

Annoy verital dispersion is the reason they hate this ship, and problem with reload time. But like all IJN BB it hard to kill at long range. If you want easier for citadel, use BC IJN they have better vertical dispersion but they have worse armor, hp than IJN BB make hard to endure shell at long range

Personally, i think if you want to grind a japanese ship, the dds are the way to go. The bbs are good but the dispersion isn't good and on the other hand, the cruisers will be dev struck everytime 😂.
