As a REGULAR German Battleship captain, I LOVE THE KÖNIG!!! Each battleship can be good in the hands of the right player. The only ships I have a problem with are Kaiser (odd gun placement) and Gneisenau (it's kinda obvious lol my bad).

I feel like if the gneisenau had sonar then it would be a legit good ship, it’s guns are just so bad at range (with such short range) that you basically have to brawl up close with it which opens it up to DD torps too much. Right now doing well in it is to dependent on the enemy even letting you in the fight. That said, I got a kraken in it two days ago. Lol

@@anthonybizzaco2603 Gneisenau has a bad reputation because of that exact dispersion, which is normally god awful in general. However, I discovered something. As far as T6 BBs go, it is an HE MONSTER!!! Of course it can't compete with KGV or Duke of York, but it as well as Scharnhorst make great HE Battleships. Think of them as the Clevelands of Battleships lol

Can you give me any pointers because I can’t see any benefits to the ship. Mediocre guns, bad dispersion, secondaries are underwhelming even with ciliax, I don’t know what to do with it

@@budgetmuffin The trick with this ship, is to play it like a Fuso. German BBs are GREAT at the old Dreadnought shuffle. Everytime an enemy Battleship fires his guns, you should be bow on. when those shells are halfway to you, turn broadside to bounce them, and open fire. The second all your guns fire, turn back to bow tanking again. Doing this, you will close the distance for your armor to take in effect, and you can start punching people like a speed bag.

But even now I'm learning so much by watching you play and listening to what you have to say. I really want to see how you play the gneisenau. For me personally it's a good ship. But you really need to learn how to play it haha. And the Bismarck, since the update its a fun ship to play!

Apparently the Konig is my most-played ship in standard battles, and the last ship alive in a tier 4 battle is often a Konig.

Funny thing is in my first ever game in the Konig I was the only BB but the enemy team had a Wyoming and an Orion, didn't fear them because they didn't have the guns to harm my Konig it was a fun match and I'm pretty sure I had 120k dmg at the end Edit: I bought the Sharnhorst commander and she helps me alot with the dispersion

About that comment about hitting a German Citadel at range... I've maybe done that 3x in my whole career at 16km+. HOWEVER, I've slapped Germans and point blank range and gotten 2-3 Citadels, sometimes even getting a Dev Strike. Idk if it's RNG or what.

I'm not super familiar with that commander to be honest If you don't have Hyde commander I recommend either Hipper for accuracy build or ciliax for a tank secondary build

For any of the German BBS with torps, it’s hard to beat AL scharnhorst. For the non-torp BBS she’s still good, but you have to change your build somewhat, mainly in slot two.

My favorite German ship is gneissenou or however U spell it lol, with AL scharnhorst and her unique perk, it becomes a menace, not to mention the best brawler IMO. Too bad I don’t have scharnhorst (the ship) :(
