Pathala Bhairavi (transl. The Goddess of the Netherworld) is a 1951 Indian fantasy film directed by K. V. Reddy who co-wrote the film with Pingali and Kamalakara Kameswara Rao. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages, the film was produced by Nagi Reddi and Chakrapani under the banner Vijaya Productions. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, S. V. Ranga Rao and K. Malathi. The film focuses on a gardener's son who has to amass wealth equal to that of the king of Ujjain to marry his daughter and a sorcerer who has to sacrifice an intelligent and brave young man to Goddess Pathala Bhairavi to gain access to a statuette which can grant any wish.
Pathala Bhairavi is based on Kasi Majilee Kathalu, written by Madhira Subbanna Deekshitulu, though it was also partially inspired by the story of Aladdin. As the film is shot as a bilingual, production lasted for a whole year starting from 5 February 1950 until 8 February 1951. Ghantasala composed the film's music and Marcus Bartley served as the cinematographer. The film was edited by the duo C. P. Jambulingam and M. S. Money, while Madhavapeddi Gokhale and Kaladhar were the film's art directors.
The Telugu version of Pathala Bhairavi was released on 15 March 1951, and the Tamil version on 17 May 1951. Both versions were commercially successful, with the Telugu version becoming the first in its language to have a direct run of 200 days. The Hindi dubbed version which featured two songs reshot in colour was also commercially successful. The film was also remade in Hindi as Pataal Bhairavi (1985).
Pathala Bhairavi is considered to be a breakthrough film for both Rama Rao and Ranga Rao, and was also the only South Indian film to be screened at the first International Film Festival of India held at Mumbai on 24 January 1952. On the centenary of Indian cinema in April 2013, CNN-IBN included Pathala Bhairavi in its list of "100 greatest Indian films of all time".

There is a proverb that Beauty lies in the Eyes of the beholder. This is your opinion. But, in some other video, a person commented that an actor was having beautiful and expressive tale-telling eyes, as praised by veteran actress Banumathi who acted with him in about 11 films. She once said that One can remain simply going on seeing his Eyes speaking so beautifully. Another most handsome Artist-cum-Hero who himself portrayed Lord Vishnu/Rama/Krishna/Lord Skanda roles praised that very same greatest actor quoted earlier who was praised by Banumathi, that he was having most proportionate facial features in conformity with Samudrika Lakshanam. People opine that No other Actor possessed that magnanimous looks (Gambeeram/Gaambeeryam) and Manliness in looks, along with slight feminine beauty too, as gracefully depicted in Paintings. When he approached Gemini Studios even earlier to that, veteran most handsome Gemini Ganesan who was then a Star-Casting Manager there, was impressed and wrote in Remarks column that he is having Beautiful expressive eyes and is having a Bright future in film career ! Make up artists/Costume Designers have abundant sense of Beauty within them than people who are looking handsome/beautiful for which they cannot take credit and be proud of. It is nothing but a gift from many in their lineage, finally through their parents. Also Beauty is transitory in nature. Above all these, Artists and Sculptors have abundant sense of Beauty within them and Artists are Painting the beautiful forms and Sculptors sculpting the various forms of Supreme Being which last long. I have expressed in clearly understandable language about the actor I intend to quote. Of course, veteran actor Muthuraman, who travelled along with the said Greatest actor since 1960s, naturally got very Decent looks since he travelled in the light of that Greatest Actor and is supposed to be like that only and hence Muthuraman needs no separate recommendation or certification from anybody for his looks and acting and the reason is known by every film lover very well. Also one thing. Even according to your presumption, you should know that if you look at glance, instantly some persons may appear to be more handsome than others (only in overall looks, but not proportionately if you consider each of the facial/physical features independently) in real looks among cine actors. Why, even among general masses, lot of most assumed handsome persons than cine actors may be there, but Screen Presence is a different concept. In this aspect, regarding most appealing Facial expressions/body language, etc., through more number of Close-up Shots especially, undoubtedly the greatest actor about whom you and I quoted without name, truly excels everybody. He was the very First Indian Actor to get International Honour. Also subsequently in different occasions. Beauty is a concept to contemplate deeply, taking various factors into consideration.
