More Witch! it was my favourite Pathfinder 1e class

Bayonetta is a witch who fights using her hair and let's say she's far from gross. Also, I think the Pathfinder 1 witch did similar things.

It is mentioned in this video that the cauldron feat is basically mass production alchemy, but I don’t think it is given justice just how different this feat actually is. The alchemist makes elixirs, mutagens, and poisons. This feat allows the witch to make true magical potions, which have a whole different range of effects when compared to alchemical items.

well, in PF1e there was an archetype for the witch with the long hair (white hair witch i think it's called), and it was rly fun to multiclass it with any physical build, so you basically grab enemy with your 10ft hair and make them suffer the grappled condition (while u don't suffer it), and then keep hitting them with a reach weapon (coz you have your hands free)
@CraigSteinhoff4 жыл бұрын
I liked format but I am only mildly interested in the play test stuff since Paizo basically said these classes will change a bunch before they go live. I would love to see and discuss some of the other systems in the core book. Like maybe perception, ambushes and invisibility. how it works and how you handle it at table. My thoughts :)

Drewbe_ Yeah, I get it. I felt much the same at first. After reading over the Core Rulebook for 2e I quickly fell in love. 1e and 2e have there place in my roster of games. My preference would be to combine features from both editions. Equipment. backgrounds, from 2e, and use them in 1e.

Played a witch to level 20 in Pathfinder 1st edition. He was a support dynamo with a lattice of Hexes that could achieve silly things by working together, like healing two people at once from a mile away as a standard action.

It's nice to note that because the witch's familiar has extra powers, you can archetype alchemist, use one of the witches familiar powers for the extra reagents ability, and build a witch that's popping out potions faster than Phoebe in Charmed. In addition to Cauldron, there's another Witch feat that lets you make even more potions. I can't wait for the final version to come out in July with the Advanced Players Guide, so I can put together an official witch to play in my gaming group. Using the playtest witch now, but knowing it's going to change in just under two months when the official release drops is making me ever so impatient.

Big problem with living hair... it isn't finesse or range, so witches will need strength to use it well an odd choice for a non-melee class that can't use armor. PF1e witches had prehensile hair which used their intelligence modifier for attacking and damage and was ranged, allowing witches to deliver spells via their hair.
@Althaven_4 жыл бұрын
True! Perhaps it'll be a better choice as an Archetype option (Croog said, hopefully)
@StretchDattass4 жыл бұрын
They'll probably add like a 10 foot range to it in the official version, remember this is still just playtest.
@Motleydoll1234 жыл бұрын
I imagine there will be buffing feats for the hair, like letting you use your spell caster modifier for it, or use it to choke or strangle a target. You could easily make some terrifying witch who potentially kills people by forcing her hair down their throats.

@000Dragon500004 жыл бұрын
The better thing about the witch IMO was the ability to DEFY the more christian cackling evil grandma trope and instead go for a more pagan shaman-esque greenwitch type deal, like, the child who can see spirits and learns to communicate and work with them, and suchforth. The sheer versatility of freely choosing which lessons you use lets you craft a lot of more... unusual... patrons.
