DUDE, make the Mystic Theurge I am going to make a vid on this week. Should be a Druid5/ That Subclass of Sorc that uses WISDOM instead of Charisma for their spell casting attribute (I think its the Empyrean one?) with 5 levels in it/ 10 levels in the Mystic Theurge set. You get access to level 0 through 8 spells for Druids, and level 0 through 7 spells for Sorcerers. Because BOTH use Wisdom as their spell stat, you can pump the wisdom pretty high for some nice extra spell castings per day AND get a decent DC to any spell you cast. BETTER THAN THAT, with those metamagic FEATS, you can make a RETARDED spell book for EITHER spell book; seriously, it gets pretty nuts. I am CURRENTLY working on a straight Magus (Eldritch Scion) that also uses the Metamagic stuff. Probably, going to post a vid on that build either today or tomorrow. Love your work man. And thanks again for the tip on force leveling a toon!

Druids can also use charisma. And using charisma helps with persuade and use magic device.

I didn't know Druids used Charisma? Which sub-class? That's be sick. I like being the "face" on the team too, so that would be sweet. I am tempted to go nuts on a dual Spontaneous Caster Mystic Theurge...Use a Sorcerer OR that Eldritch Scion subclass from Magus as the Arcane caster, and then use the Inquisitor for the Divine Caster. Haven't figured out WHICH spells to pick from each spell list though. Once I test it, I'll tell you what I landed on. It won't be the best fighter AT ALL, but will be one SPAM-HAPPY spell slinger for sure!

Hmm, so lets summarize: by going into mystic theurge you loose all the GOOD stuff from the base classes (domain or bloodline power, bonus feats etc.) and you are several levels behind in spell progression (which is the absolutely WORST thing you can do as a caster). On top of this you are going MAD because with two primary attributes all of you secondary attributes like CON and DEX are gonna suck. And all you get - beside a bloated spell book with no theme or cohesion - is the ability to cast your spells in the spell slots of the other class at level+1? Whoa, that a tough bargain. Can't wait to try it out - not.

Its not really that MAD though? Look at Paladin or Monk, who need 3+ ability scores just to function. Not saying the theurge is amazing, it isn't, but MAD is not the one thing to argue about it.

But yes, mystic theurges can cast a lot of spells, but their DC will be low, and so will their overall spell levels. It will be good to play for their underground continuous playthrough

Doing an Sacred Huntsman /Eldric Scion Magic Domain and Magic Liniage. Only lvl 2 so far plan is at lvl 9-18 mt than back to magus to finish the build using all touch spells to pair with my casting weapon attack, and throwing my sword lightsaber style build so far Motherless Tiefling Feat 1: Persuasive Str 13 Dex 16 Con 10 Int 10 Wis 15 Cha 15 Masterwork Longswrod Studded Leather Armor Trying to make him basically a hexblade First Spells Bane Bless Grease Burning Hands Going to focus on buff/curse/control type spells Animal: Smilidon Familiar: Viper He is the face of the party after all. Skills Trickery: 1 World: 1 Persuasion 2 for +14 already Perception 2 for + 13 already

I get that wizard is the less complex choice for the purpose of the video, but a sylvan sorcerer would have been perfect to match the fey druid, as it also uses charisma as its main stat and proceeds in leveling up the animal companion, which is not the case (as far as I know) if you go into wizard. Nonetheless, great content *thumbs up*

Currently running an Aasimar Mysthic Theurge Summoner. I chose Cleric Herald Caller and Wizard Thassilonian Specialist (Sloth) to get the level 1 bonuses. Herald Caller allows spontaneous Casting of Summon Monster spells plus healing spells. Got a bunch of Summoning augment feats and currently aiming for the metamagic feats. I just wish I could equip the ring of enhanced summons but It seems its currently bugged right now.

@@ArcaneAgent Problem with Summoning spells is they are excedingly slow. But if I pick a Quicken spell the spell level skyrockets. Is it possible to find a class combination to lower the spell level increase cost for the metamagic feats?

I dont think you can lower those, unless youre using a universalist wizard level 20, they can quicken any 1 spell a day no matter the spell level

@@ArcaneAgent With the Thassilonian specialist your summon spells get extended by half your wizard level per round. Doesn't really work for this build but it still gives you an extra turn since you need level 3 wizard to even access Mysthic Theurge.

All honesty the mystic they're is one of the most worthless prestige classes. Sure you get to cast a LOT of spells but, you cast spells at a lower level than a pure caster. At 8th level a pure sorc is casting level 5 spells. A mystic theurge would be casting level 3

I made a character like this in a table top game once. I didn't go feyspeaker I went straight druid instead but the end result was the same, all my spell slots full of magic missiles. It was surprisingly effective. They don't deal a huge amount of damage but they always hit. I only filled all my slots with them once though, before a big boss fight that had lots of DR, didn't use most of them but it was still fun to just hurl magic missile after magic missile after magic missile. Very annoying for the DM.

Magus has limited spellbook, I think he can't get to 9 lvl spells, only 6th lvl

Sorcerer mystic theurge cannot reach level 9 spells. :( sorcerers need mage level 1 higher than wizard to reach the higher level spells, wizards reach level 9 spells at 17, minimum dip into divine class for level 2 spells is 3 so sorcerer mystic theurge not a great idea if you want level 9 spells, the same is also true for the priest spells as you will need a 4 level dip into sorcerer for the arcane level 2 which means the max cleric/druid level is 16. but caster level 17 is required for divine spells level 9.
