Honestly i finished the Angel path on a LG Iomedae Paladin. RPwise i'd take the General of Heaven at the side of my goddess any day of the week over ascending to godhood. And the fact that Galfrey who was my romance character left her throne to be with me and was accepted by Iomedae into heaven to fight alongside her Angel lover was even more satisfying in the end. Especially the comment about Iomedae: "The Goddess didn't want to break the bond between her two greatest pupils"

Oh, so there are two Angel endings. I was designated as the Angel of Salvation by Iomedae, probably because I tend to choose ‘Good’ options more than ‘Lawful’ options. My Angel ending required me to sacrifice myself to save Areelu and save Golarion, instead of sacrificing Areelu.

I was Angel of Salvation as well but i could sacrifice Areelu normally. You probably missed some other trigger to be able to sacrifice her. I got the same ending as the video with some minor changes

lol "Angel of Salvation" more like the Angel of L. who would sacrifice himself for that witch my chad angel of retribution destroyed all the filth the degenerate and the weak. then ascended to lead and the army of haven in an eternal crusade.

i really liked my lich path, i just feel that defeating areelu and closing the worlwound is a lesser achievement than doing those two things and also killing the lord of locust. I would have done that happily after what he cause do my pg. Anyway, great game!

Eh, dont worry, Areelu kinda deserved it and it makes for a better Angel Ending to not do the ascension thing. Anyway, out of curiosity, but do we have any idea how big Deskari's realm was? Because destroying an abyssal realm is some Desna level stuff

Ultimately, "destroying" isn't an accurate word when it comes to the abyss. Best case scenario the layer becomes a barren wasteland until some other demon lord comes along and asserts their dominion. At the very least it makes an example out of Deskari though: Mess with Golarion too much and you and your entire legacy will be reduced to ashes.

@@Chrimp1724 I mean, Deskari's realm already started out as a wasteland and the game is pretty explicit in that it was done precisely so that another demon lord cant pull a "its free real state". Its ironically less visually impressive than the other Light of Heaven prompts but the game itself is pretty clear that the intention is to render the realm gone or useless

Honestly, she seems happier in this ending than in others. She says herself the experiment was a success, and she gets to rub it in the face of the gods. Even THEY couldn't close the Worldwound. Only she, its mortal creator, could. Besides, this ending is actually the closest to the actual canon Paizo established in 2e (with the vague gesturing that Areelu was powerful enough that she'd basically become a nascent demon lord right away upon death). I wonder if anyone DOESN'T take the intervene option during the scene with Pharasma...it's a testament to how Owlcat refined and revised Areelu's personality that it seems like everyone likes her as a character, even if they do fight her. Abyssal realms generally are limitless, so they can't be "destroyed" in the conventional sense. Even Desna didn't fully destroy Aolar's realm, she just smashed her residence and pwned her so hard she went through both of her deaths at the same time. But yeah, it's only a matter of time before some up-and-coming demon lord starts squatting in the burnt-out remains of Deskari's realm or something. In fact, there's a PFS Organized Play scenario where you have to fight some of Deskari's former lieutenants who survived this conflagration and are now squabbling amongst themselves for the last lingering scraps of his power.

@@zoushaomenohu I mean, strictly speaking, Iomedae could have closed the Worldwound any time she wanted- the AP said that the reason she didnt was that it would have started shit with other gods. Speaking of which, where does Pharasma send Areelu if the player doesnt intervene? Also i just assumed that the Angel made that one PFS Organized Play scenario never happen on account of you torching everything. I would appreciate more info on the Aolar/Desna thing, since i was under the impression Desna did blow everything up

I had the same choices, but i failed everything i wanted to do in my lets play ... I wasted 60 hours to at the end not get the desired results, woops !

Somehow, I find it kinda disappointing that Trickster couldn't do something similar. Like, imagine a Trickster ending where the Trickster makes *Areelu* a part of Shyka, then travels down to Deskari's plane to beat him there again, turn him into a butterfly and alters his realm into a weird Elysium with a cheese moon and candy floss lawn. And about the own wound itself: how about the Trickster ascends by transmuting Deskari's scythe into a divine metal dice and then manipulates reality in form of a DnD session. Like, he decides to turn all companions into gods, throws a 20 in charm as a requirement and then triggers an ending where he self and his friends ascend. And in the end of the story, Shyka instead of Areelu will appear in front of Pharasma and laugh about this whole experiment as if it was nothing but a joke. Pharasma on the other hand would also be unable to harm Areelu because she is out off her grasp. Last but not least, Shyka could offer the commander and his lover (should there be a lover) to become a part of Shyka too and then the player can decide for a last time if he want to be a part of the jedi...eh I mean, if he want to be a part of the Shyka council. :D xD

I would like to know what happens if you don't intervene during the judgement of Pharasma. To be honest, i think peoples took pity on Areelu way too easily.

She gets sent to the Abyss to suffer pain and agony. So its like a gift to Areelu ngl.

How do you get this path? I got one where i can either sacrifice myself or walk away. What did i miss?

It sounds like sacrificing Areelu is missing from your choices - either complete the check at around the 7 minute mark or defeat her copies quickly after failing it.

I never got Areelu's notes to know that she was prepared to suicide so i couldnt use her to close the wound, so i never had the option to talk to her like that and i still got the ending with using her and then killing Deskari as an Angel. Idk where the trigger for that is tho. And i did fight her copies normally, but the whole combat lasted 3-4 rounds. Guess if you are slower it could fail?

Ensure that Ember interacts with Nocticula while in the abyss. She goes on a whole spiel about how demons are pointlessly hurting themselves by being evil.

@@grandamnevaldo2093 Sorry for the delay - it isn't locked behind mythic paths, but the Worldwound must be closed I believe. True Aeon ending means Ember never speaks with her so it's a no-go.

@@grandamnevaldo2093 Ember must speak with Nocti while you must encourage Nocti to listen to Ember by praising her prophetic gifts and the worldwound must close. Doesnt matter if you or areelu closes it.

Who is Katair and those other names

Katair and Eliandra are the leadership of Pulura's Fall. Lariel is the Angel who's sword you pick up at the start of the game, Targona is his sister. Yaniel is a hero of past crusades - her famed sword, Radiance can be found in the Shield Maze. Berenguer was effectively a hermit-Doomguy who was wandering around the Worldwound until eventually he decided to join up with me because I was on the Angel path.
