Kind of wish you could combine grapple with pounce. Sabin from Final Fantasy still has the record of the most ridiculous pro wrestling feat in fantasy history when he suplexed a train. I want Ulbrig to be able to power bomb demon lords from orbit.

Ulbrig is cool and he's got a unique subclass, I might be in the minority but I've always liked and preferred my companions to be unique mechanically since I often switch people out and use the majority of them. One of the things DA2 did right imo.

Installed Tabletop Tweaks mod and rolling a Griffonheart shifter MC now. Hype! Kind of disappointed Grabber isn't that good. Thought it sounded like Overwhelm in DAO which was always great for shutting down big bad mage enemies before they get any annoying spells off.

So this guy gets a special ability that actually makes Charge useful period. Question: Why exactly wasn't THAT the "mythic" charge ability? o. O (Divine damage is nice but doesn't help jack Or Daxster if you can't get it to activate 90% of the time you want to) [I like Charge conceptually, but the Line of Sight strictness is a PITA. At least it's not full of tuna, but still... The ability/mythic ability is not nearly as useful as it could be, and this is Example A++]

I second this, especially after putting points into it for Seelah as a Cavalier. I think Charge should be able to at least ignore friendlies with a feat, at some point.

I appreciate this. It's really cool that he gets a unique archetype. If only the player could pick it. I could see few a weird legend builds that could be tons of fun with that charge.

My problems with ulfrig mirror the problems I have with shifter as an overall class.. lack of feats, means you have to make compromises for the sake of making him viable as a genuine frontline option and not something you have to babysit. In truth he's a pretty weakish lvl 20 singleclass option, Multiclassing him really depends on what's your cut off point for what you get.. lvl 15 for all the claw options, the +6 str and the combat feats he gets... is that enough.. the moment you say no, you start to claw into what makes the class the class. Thematically I give him an A+, Overall, not mentioning his quest/personality.. I'd rate it a B+ or A- He's definitely an option, especially if your just bored of taking one or two of seelah/camellia/regill Just know that depending on what you want and the rest of the team selection/mythic path you select, may mean that it takes much more to make him work. You may have to simply allow him to be a shock troop type of fighter.. swoop him in on back line's and hope that his buff and the rest of the party cc/dmg dealing does enough work in combination with a possible last stand trigger that he gets the job done consistently enough to be worth the hassle.

I don't think Shifter lends itself well to multiclassing AT ALL. Kind of a problem in Pathfinder overall to be honest.

Playing currently on Unfair with him, end of act 2. His offensive abilities are really good, but you need to have lunge, else he gets wrecked pretty quickly. Be really careful on when you do the flying attack, and preferably do it in turn-based mode. We'll see how he will scale in later acts though.

I pushed my man Ulbrig to STR 56 at the end (Shifter 15/Mutagen Warrior 5). What an absolute boss. He lifts more on one finger than the entire olympic weightlifting team combined. He eats any spellcaster for breakfast from across the map.

Heya Samori I've been really thinking since ur romance video but where do u put baldurs gate 2 and wrath all time for crpgs at the beginning of wrath I thought it had surpassed bg2. But after time has passed i feel like bg2 is still the best ever. I feel like wrath is second for sure but bioware writing and characters in bg2 is exceptional and wotr characters are okay and the romances imo are terrible. I'm curious on your opinion as a fellow bioware fan. RIP Dreadwolf.

I think Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition sits on the mountain top for now. It will be interesting to see if BG3 can take that spot. WotR doesn't have as many memorable party members, it's not as stable, and the villain isn't as good.

I am an all in kind of guy so I go 19 points. To switch it up you could go 15 points and get Vivi for mutagen.
