There's a mod that adds Cackle as a toggleable ability, which is something they should've implemented from the start. My girl Ember crawls in the battlefield like a slug, true, but having Protective Luck and Fortune always extended is just 👨‍🍳👌

I think Winter Witch continues the hex progression of the original class, so you keep learning extra witch/shaman hexes, including major ones. Also I'm giggling because senpai noticed me in the Ley Line Guardian section, awww

Elemental witch is pretty fun, I'm not a huge fan of the hex's so losing 5 of them doesn't bother me. Ice plant is pretty good though with the ring you can get early on to have an easy +4 to AC

Hi I want to make a 'more evil than good' character kinda based on the character Morrigan from Dragon age (if you're familiar). It's basically a witch type of spellcaster that can transform into animals. Now I dont know much about the rules of pathfinder, but changing into animals seems to require strength and con, something spellcaster have little. And changing into a dragon would be really cool. So I've been looking around for this and it seems a leyline witch with a transformation Patron could be good. Or maybe I should simply go for a sorcerer with a dragon bloodline? Any help on what class I should pick and what my stat distribution would be? P.s. making it a Dhampir would be nice too. Else simply human is cool.

Witch with transformation patron would be solid. You wont need higher than 16 for your spellcasting stat if youre gonna focus on transformations. This gives some wiggle room for other stats. Also, Aasimar or Tiefling would help cause they give 2 stat boosts. Theres also the brown fur arcanist which is all about transformations. They get bigger bonuses to ohysical stats when transforming as well.

@@unsungnpc8918 Thank you for the very quick reply. :) I played Tyranny and I loved that game (not sure if you know it, also a crpg) So I thought I'd like pathfinder too. But compared to Tryanny this is very overwhelming. I played through half the game on normal difficulty with a Bloodrager and still I feel like I don't know much about all the rules.

@@rohirrim7 I love Tyranny! Great game! I totally get you. Pathfinder, being based off the tabletop system, has a lot of mechanics to it. I have some vids that go over rules and feats if those will help but yeah it's an undertaking for sure. I'm always happy to answer questions and people in my discord know a lot about the game as well if you need extra help! Also, I didnt see the edited first comment ut Dhampir is a solid choice for the stat boosts as well!

I don't really understand witch patrons. Most of them are concepts rather than an actual entity, which makes no sense to me.

Witch patrons are overall classifications. There can be many powerful beings and dieties associated with any single patron. That's up to you personally. You're moreso choosing the classification of patron.

You missed the big deal about Stigmatized Witch... it's a Spontaneous Charisma caster. The way I see it, you're essentially a Sorcerer who traded your Bloodline for Hexes, an Oracle's Curse, and the (Arguably superior) Witch Spell List.

I mean, I still dont like choosing archetypes that companions already use but I see your point. Charisma is meh anyway. Solo Persuasion was barely used in most of my playthroughs.
