Thank you for the reminder of going home to yourself. I really needed this. I’ve been taking care of everyone and neglecting myself. I find myself tired, emotional and having a hard time focusing on one task. Today, I will take the steps to take care of me and fill up my self compassion cup without feeling guilty. Thank you for these podcasts and continuing Thay’s teachings and legacy ❤️🌻

Thank you. Great advice. When the big storm is coming, make sure to protect our own home. Close doors and windows, take refuge in our practices. Beautiful metaphor. 🙏

Merci, merci, merci💜💜💜💜

Happy 2023!! I am only 5 seconds into this podcast and in total agreement already--I'm so far past burnout that I wonder if I will ever get off autopilot and re-engage. I seem to be just going through the motions to check off boxes and get through to the weekend to have a bit of 'down time' which never really is downtime because there's housework, etc. I took an online Buddhism course from an abbey in the US this year and of course, part of it was to meditate. I still can't sit still long enough to let anything move in or out precisely because as an American, I have been conditioned/taught/led to believe that if I wasn't 'doing something' and 'being productive' that I was wasting time. I can sit for hours in front of my sewing machine because I am 'doing something' with my hands and have a tangible result. But just sitting?? No can do. Not sure if this is a uniquely American problem but I could use some tips for settling in and not getting antsy within 3 minutes of attempting meditation. I know the physical and mental beneifts of meditation and of yoga/exercise but just cannot seem to get out of a rut. Thanks for this podcast and will try to use it as part of some New Year's resolutions...

Dear Happy Traveller, Thank you for watching TWOII and Plum Village App here on YT. Please keep your daily practice. All you need do is sit for 5 seconds, then 10 seconds, then keep adding seconds and minutes in your sitting. Do this a few times every day, breathing deeply in and out. Your out breath just a tiny bit longer than your in breath. You got this! Keep us posted on your progress. :) May your new year be filled with peace, ease and many joyful present moments! 🙏 You can download our completely free app and carry Plum Village with you. I was retraumatized, can't use my breath. 😔 What still works for me is body scan. Though, it takes longer and is not so accessible like the breath. 😔
