Exercising is crucial for health. Movement is a part of our lives. Sometimes advice of exercise given to fibromyalgia patients whose condition wasn't taken into consideration can be inapplicable.
Certain exercise plans are hard for fibromyalgia patients who has a lot of pain and fatigue. Slow walks can be beneficial to those patients.
Most commonly recommended exercises are hiking, yoga, pilates and swimming. Stretching and relaxation of muscles during pilates could feel good. Do the exercises that you feel like you need and capable of. Pilates with tools isn't really suitable. Sometimes injuries may occur.
When doing yoga, apply it in a deeply philosophical, mentally relaxing way. Swimming is applicable if you're into it and have the means. Do these exercises by listening to your body, not your trainer.
Postural syndrome is always present in fibromyalgia patients. Posture exercises can be done but those won't fix the posture. I explained this in Posturology Hasta Okulu. Do not forget.
