Patient with Severe Scoliosis is Pain-free and Walking with Ease Thanks to Dr. Anant Kumar

Rozanne Nelson suffered from severe scoliosis her whole life. The pain became so debilitating that in 2008, she retired early. She was embarrassed to be seen due to the big hump she had on her back. The thought of surgery scared her but meeting Dr. Anant Kumar, spine surgeon at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, put her worries at ease. After their first meet up, Dr. Kumar personally called her the next morning to assure her that she could come in as many times as she needed and ask as many questions as she had until she felt comfortable with the thought of surgery. Wanting to maintain twisting motion for golf and other day-to-day activities, she opted to do the minimum necessary to straighten her back and alleviate her pain. Rozanne is ecstatic with her results stating, “I owe Dr. Kumar the quality of my life for the rest of my life.”
