This is that part that makes her con so much more egregious than say Billy Mcfarlands. And the fact that she was found guilty of defrauding investors, yet not guilty of defrauding patients tells you how we look at justice for the rich vs justice for the poor.

It's not that simple. To be done for clinical misconduct you have to pretty much be involved in patient care directly for there to be no reasonable doubt. Because she was removed from administration it was a lot harder and it wouldn't have stuck. They suspended her from operating a lab and that was the best they could do

Since the first time I heard about Theranos in 2016, I was in undergrad of biology, and I told myself there was NO WAY it was possible. Then I forgot a little about it, low and behold, 2 years later, I was right. Even an undergrad can see it's impossible with our tech.

I wanna know how accurate this testing was though.... why in every video do they talk about these cases where things were not correct but never mention times when the science was spot on? What is the ratio of Correct Diagnosis v Incorrect Diagnosis from the theranos machine and where did the research and science go when the company was disposed?
@koolaidman62512 жыл бұрын
Because the answer is literally never. It was never correct. It is impossible for a finger prick to ever give this kind of information accurately, period. That is what the professor at Stanford told Elizabeth when she first proposed this idea. It's what all the actual trained scientists were saying. That is one of the many reasons this story is so crazy -- it's like someone convincing a bunch of billionaires that pegasus horses are real and getting funding for a pegasus farm.
@Bloooo95 Жыл бұрын
There was no “Theranos machine”. They took a tiny amount of blood, diluted it with water and put it in a machine put out by another company that requires more blood. The entire thing is a lie. There was no research.
