Nice! As far as the front of the box is concerned, looks like something large was hauled in the truck for years, as it was pushed to the front of the box... You might see it as a mistake, I see it as a great effect!

Aluminum tape for ducts. People wrap their charge pipes with it. For the mirrors.

I used brake and clutch cleaner to remove grease and finger marks before priming then again between coats of paint ..keeps the greasy finger prints at bay ..🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇺🇸👍

When ya said you wanted to do a suburban, I kinda glared over to my suburban build sittin' on my work table. I've got the main body done, needs a roof skin for the raised roof and some more filler, but it's very much identifiable as a suburban! It's absolutely massive, with a wheelbase a little over 14 inches....Might put it on boggers...I do love a burb on intercos... But it is quite a bit of work! Especially if you wanna do it properly and move the back wheelwell around and extend the tail. As for a mirror sticker, Hobby Lobby, Micheal's, Jo'Anns and...what ever craft store near you, should sell shiny chrome vinyl, one sheet would probably do dozens of like, huge semi truck mirrors as they come in 12x12 inch sheets. If you can find a single sheet of chrome it'll often be under like 5 dollars.

Paint is looking good but I hope you're gonna put some different tires on it bc those goofy low profile tires aren't doing it justice. I do like the wheels though they have a good look and especially like the chrome beauty ring, it really sets them off. 👍👍

As far as the mirrors go have you tried plumbers tape, I’ve used it on one of my builds a while back. I liked the results better that the included mirror decal. Also I think you can use a black sharpie for the window gaskets? Best of luck on your build and keep up the great videos 👍🏼

I find myself going back and rewatching your videos when you work on your kits. This is like a study course on scratch building r/c cars. How about a Rat Rod, or one of these square cabs in just primer. We all have known someone that had drove around WIP primer/surfacer. Hmmmmm i seem to recall some dork aircraft painter that drove sround in a black primer surfacer ,73 Satellite for a couple of years 😎 This one looks great. And it's on the shop truck chassis. Will it drift?

What colour paint do you use for the primer to get that rustic look after you've rubbed through the blue?

It’s just red oxide rustoleum primer. The big silver can.

I forgot about them and they soaked for 3 days, lol Most of the chrome is off, just have to do it again and scrub them since I left it so long

do you have suggestions for painting a crawler.? I did my first one recently with Tamiya TS paint and it looked great! but I use my crawlers hard, the area I am in there are a lot of shell type sharp rocks and it has been scratched to heck. I want to do a custom paint job that will stand up to rubbing on rocks a bit. Is that possible? I'm doing a TRX4m

From my experience, the tamiya TS paints are far more durable than the stuff I’m using. I tried some for a patina project once and couldn’t get it to sand through at all. The only thing I can think of might be the high temp paints for real car brake calipers. I’ve used VHT brand satin clear on some as a protective layer. But nothing I’ve crawled hardcore.

You’ll never get a paint job to not scratch on rocks wether in Rc or 1:1

Use that real rust kit on the spots that the plastic came through. That's what I've been doing on mine.

I think you are being way to hard on your abilities it looks way better than I think you know for me it looks way more realistic the way you have it. Just sayin big fan
