If you pinch the baby seed heads (deadhead) or the leggy stems on impatience, they will do fine in sunnier spots. I made the mistake years ago of planting an entire bed of impatience in full sun, and was able to keep them alive and beautiful by doing this. Your patio and backyard look lovely! What a restful haven.❤

Beautiful patio and so many ideas! I also painted my light weight pots like you did! Easy and an economical way to hold on to the pots we love! I also enjoyed your most recent meal prep! My significant other recently got me a blower for our little patio. Our patio gets more sun most of the day but we love sitting out in the early evening when the sun has gone down some. We are still trying to find a way to cover it so we can enjoy it more earlier in the day when we want to barbecue, etc when family is over. We have been remodeling (updating) our little retirement. Home as time and money allows. We are in our 70's so takes us a little longer to get projects completed! Ha Ha One thing I recommend for both you and your husband is to please, please take care of your back! I am now paying for back issues from years past doing way way too much heavy yard work in a previous home. The one positive thing is that we have a very small yard in this house. I tell people if I can cut the grass that is some thing at my age! Getting ready for fall again soon! Will you show us what you are doing again for Halloween?? You two have such great ideas!

Hi there! Everything takes time at every age. It just gets harder. 😂 I try to stay active while I can. I will probably have a Halloween video. We do pretty much the same thing for Halloween every year. TFS!

Hello Randy,great video,just a couple of suggestions,we used Miracle Grow for years.Then a professional garden suggested using organic seaweed,it has made such a difference to how many flowers bloom.Just follow the instructions on the container.Another tip I picked up is to very slowly water hanging basket they absorb much more water this way.Thanks for this video and have a good weekend.

I used to have those lightweight pots and loved them also kept them new looking with spray paint….then I left them out in our wisconsin winter ❄️☹️ my son and his wife bought a house in California with artificial grass in the back yard…their dog starting eating his 💩 after he did his job on their…they had to learn to be quick in pick up! Love all your little touches on your patio!

Hi Esther! We're lucky to have mild winters so we don't have to winterize. We had a problem with eating 💩 in the litter box 🤢. We had to block it off from the dogs 🤦🏼♀️ I'm going to have to watch carefully. So far so good 🤞🏻 TFS!

Randi, I enjoy and look forward to your videos weekly. Love your ideas and creativity. At the end of this video, you mentioned fertilizing the plant once a week and I thought it’s once a month. No wonder your plants look so healthy.
@27foxplace Жыл бұрын
How often you need to fertilize depends on the fertilizer. A slow release might be 4 to 6 weeks. and you can supplement with a weekly fertilizer, too. Just don't over do it!

Hi Randi! Your patio is just lovely! I had never heard of the agapanthus plant. It is beautiful and especially more so because it is drought tolerant and easy to divide. I live in Central Texas and we have had about 31 days straight of over 100 degree weather with no rain. It is scorchingly hot so any pretty drought tolerant plants are a must in our area!!🥵I watch your videos over and over for inspiration and my husband likes when I watch in the evening because he says he likes the music in your videos and he falls asleep immediately. 🙂 I would like to know the size of the container you have in your laundry that holds the borax. It is perfect for the powdered Tide I use for cleaning some things. Thank you so much for sharing all your tips and ideas and for the great cleaning motivation. Lord Bless!!🌻

Hi there! We usually stay just under 100F 😂 and very little rain most years, so we have to supplement the water to keep anything alive. I think it's a 2 gallon Heritage jar. I think there's a choice of black or silver tops. Thank you!

Thankyou for the idea of potting up Agapanthas, it is something I had never thought of. In my area (Victoria Australia) they are a weed and take over our bush areas in a flash. If you remove the dead flowers before the seed spreads you can control them from seed spreading, which will protect native areas. I do like the idea of potting them though as I agree they are a beautiful plant.

Randi, Your garden is so beautiful and the atmosphere is so calming and relaxing, its the perfect place for a cup of tea or a mocha frapicino! We have astroturf here and it's nice because it stays green! Its only brown when the leaves fall from the trees and we end up once every two weeks raking it, and its back to green again! We went to Andersons nursery not to long ago and we discovered a really cool gong wind chime. I wanted to purchase it but the price backed me away from it. I opted for an adorable stained glass solar light floating hot air balloon. Its really neat at night because the light inside flickers like a flame and the stained glass looks so pretty! I really like your trellis thats a nice one! I learned something new from you about the feet for potted plants, thank you! I'll have to remember to pick up some feet for my pots next time! Really good idea.

I'm so happy to heat that! The balloon sounds delightful! TFS!

I love the clean look of artificial turf. The only catch with the weed barrier fabric you put under, is that it holds dog urine odor. If it gets too bad, you might want to remove that part. But in the meantime, you can use Nature’s Miracle Enzyme Stain & Odor Remover. I hose my turf down with water first, and then spray the liquid enzymes over it. I think it being watered first helps disperse it. Good luck!
@27foxplace Жыл бұрын
🤦🏼♀️ I didn't think about the weed cloth. But odor is one of my bigger concerns. Thank you for the tip!
